so here's a thread geared for listing music festivals per area in the country (ex san fran, chicago, new york, seattle)
Feel free to add or add to any list
I'll start things off with San Fran/Greater N. California/N. Nevada Area (As listed on ticketmaster)
In the begginning of the year there's Noisepop! Taking place in late February to march in small venues across San Fran
In the summer there's High Sierra Music Festival, taking place in Quincy, NV
In the summer there's the newly listed Outside Lands Festival, taking place Aug 22-24 in Golden Gate Park
Also in Golden Gate Park is Power to the Peaceful, the annual Bluegrass Festival (Which takes places in september/october) and some others including the now and zen fest
Moving onwards, there's the Download festival which usually takes place at Shoreline Amp
Also at Shoreline Amp is the annual Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit
Finally, there's The Treasure Island Festival, usually taking place in September on Treasure Island
that's it for San Fran that I know of, please feel free to add to San Fran or other areas!

There's also World Fest up in Grass Valley which is in Nor Cal. It might as well be called Weed Fest though. I've never seen so much weed in one concentrated area in my life.

If you are putting SXSW for Texas, put CMJ for NYC, cause they are pretty much the same.

Street Scene should be added to So Cal. Not sure if that was an oversight or a protest to last year's lineup.
