Sorry, their first is one of my favorite albums.

Dont be sorry, the fact that u love one is great in my book. i love all three so i just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

Turn on the Bright Lights was with me through a rough period, I think I would still love it even if I didn't feel so close to it.

Oh don't get me wrong, Antics is great definitely more upbeat, but Turn on the Bright Lights had great timing for me.

Antics... although the first song i heard by Interpol was "PDA", Antics really taught me to appreciate the group. the other two albums are good, just not as good in my opinion.

Unknown Pleasures.

But seriously, Turn on the Bright Lights, easily. The others have one or two songs that are keepers and the rest are forgettable filler.

jazzz
03-25-2008, 09:58 PM
if someone says " Unkown Pleasures"
Then I have to say "What Does Anything Mean? Basically" or "Script of the Bridge" by The Chameleons cos I think they sound more like them then Joy Division

paulb

thelastgreatman
03-26-2008, 02:00 PM
Psst: the reason people vote for Antics is that, although really great, most of the really good songs on Turn On sound almost exactly alike--Obstacle 1 and 2, PDA, and Say Hello. I love them, but they sound practically identical in pace and tone. Sorry.

Psst.

Go buy a belt buckle with a gloryhole built in and make a gaybar bathroom stall out of yourself while you listen to the Beastie Boys and Justice play a live set--you'll get filled out by every other *** who likes that bullshit.

sorry, but, Ive been a lil force fed with them... picture this, Im waiting 9h in the freezing cold, waiting for the Beastie Boys at Sasquatch, and gotta sit through, Spoon and Interpol and I cant even hear a damn word the lead singer guy is saying... it was shite... plus, they've been at every festival Ive been at and have taken too much. Coachella, Sasquatch, Hurricane, Lollapalooza.... im tired of it.

ThomThom
03-26-2008, 02:20 PM

interpol make me happy inside, even though they're not

edit: and true story, back when I was a bagboy at a gourmet supermarket (epicure on alton for the locals), it was late one weekday and this guy with glasses on comes in, goes and gets some expensive cheese and crackers and comes into my aisle, I look at his face and i'm thinking, who IS this guy, why does he look so familiar. then BAM! its paul banks lead singer of interpol, I squealed inside but kept CalmCoolCollected and told him I was a big fan, he thanked me and left (i stole his credit card receipt though!)

ThomThom
