"We're very pleased to announce that Oasis will be headlining the Sunday night at the third Virgin Festival in Toronto this September!

The festival takes place over the weekend of 6th - 7th September at Toronto Island Park.

Oasis headline on Sunday 7th September with Foo Fighters headlining on Saturday."

Niiiiiiice....this is a decent fest despite Virgin's mega-corporatism and having to buy tickets for everything...

the venue is great - riding the ferry back with everyone else at the end of the night is a blast...

Last year Vancouver got The Killers and MCR as headliners... but I read in an interview they (somehow) made a lot of money on the Vancouver V-Fest last year, and plan on getting two bigger name headliners. But god knowns ANYONE will be better then MCR and The Killers. And to top it off, Muse cancelled and was replaced by Rise Against. I was just bout the buy tickets, JUST for Muse, then they cancelled. Thank god I didn't buy them...
Last year in Vancouver, it was in May and line up was anounced the first week of Febuary. I am guessing Vancouver isn't going to be until October this year. I wonder if Pemberton had anything to do with it.

EDIT: Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Muse headlines a day of V-Fest in Vancouver this year, to make up for them cancelling last year. I would most definately be ok with that.

The sounds are great on SOTSOG. Unfortunately, it contains some of their weakest songwriting. "Go Let It Out", "Who Feels Love", "Gas Panic!" and such are great tunes, but I think, pound for pound, the song quality is not as good as Heathen Chemistry or Be Here Now.
