That's not even that horrible. I paid $95 for shit seats to The Police and Madonna, and neither show was very good.

If I had $95 laying around I would definitely do it -- and I've already seen him on this tour.

That character was taken from the Ben Stiller show in the 90s, I really liked the two scetches he used the character in.

If you can tollerate his fans...do it...I saw bruce a couple of months ago we had GA and for not being a fan and just curious...I enjoyed his performance but remembered that grin on his face he makes and was totally annoyed by the people around me who thought they needed a 3 ft circumfrence around them selves...I ended up leaving early

It was a nice mix of old and new... the new tunes sounded great. If you've never seen him before, I highly recommend it. On this tour, the shows aren't quite the 3 hour marathon sets I've become accustomed to in years past but this makes for a nice tight setlist. Stay for the encore -- seeing Born to Run live with all the house lights on and everyone in the arena standing and singing is great.

first time I saw him the show was like 4 1/2 hours. ridiculous.

Springsteen was my first concert (1988?). My older brother had won tix and took me. What a night for an impressionable junior high kid.

YES YES YES YES YES.

I saw him in LA on Halloween on this tour (he came out in a coffin, opened by Steve), and it's pretty much the greatest thing ever. Brought my girlfriend along, she's mixed on Bruce fucking loved the show. It'll be about 2.5 hours long, so a bit shorter than the epic old shows I've heard about. But the setlist is tight, you're probably in for some rarities - he likes to mix it up - and the new songs all sound great. His website posts scans of his handwritten setlists, pretty cool, you can see his last minute song change decisions (when he scratches one out for another).

Are you a fan of joy?

Seen him the last 4 chicago stops......... (the solo acoustic club thingy was fantastic)
He's a brilliant showman and he changes his set regularly so don't expect a greatest hits show (ala the police reunion) but I'd say in todays ticket price enviornment it's worth it

I can't believe there are Bruce Springsteen fans on this board.

Beyond the fact the he's the shit, Bruce has a ton of influence over modern indie rock. Look at the most recent albums from The Killers, Hold Steady, Arcade Fire, and the National - and I'm sure others, but those come to mind quickly - and you'll see their various attempts to do Bruce. So I'm not terribly surprised.

I'd also kill for he and the E Street Band to headline one year. That'd be the best headliner yet.

springsteen would be a poor fit for coachella. this from a guy who's seen him maybe 10 times in the past 30 years. he is fun live and a great songwriter but he doesn't mix well with others.

What do you mean, doesn't mix well with others? As in he doesn't fit the Coachella sound? (see my previous post about that issue). Or as in he doesn't like to play with others, which isn't true, since I feel he invites others on stage with him all the time.

bump.
A review of last night's show in SJ stated that five songs in he started taking requests from the crowd. He took the signs people made that had songs written on them, held them up to the band, and then they started playing whatever song was on there. During the encore, he pulled some guy onstage from the crowd who had Glory Days written on his bald head, and then played a killer version of it for him. Sweet.

I'm looking at an episode of Cold Case named "8 years". Every song on the show is from Springsteen. It's really making it a good episode.
