That is a ridiculous line-up...Tom Waits?? If thats true it gives some shred of hope that he'll play Coachella as well...probably not, but i can dream i guess.

I'm taking a cross country road trip and making it to bonnaroo was one of our goals, which is now one of my required stops.

Menik,

Do you know if they're going to have the same ferris wheel as last time? I will go for sure if they do.

bballarl

I'm sure GV explored that option, but it either didn't work for The Police (not being ready or something) or we can still get lucky with them.

Holy shit, that's incredible. And I didn't even say that about last year's lineup, despite the presence of Radiohead. If that's true, it's one solid lineup.

Where is this info coming from? I don't see it on the Manchester Times site.

POLICE- omg amazing setlist I'm sue
BOB DYLAN- an institution, an american treasure, a rock god praised by rock gods
Pearl Jam- eh
the rest of the lineup looks killer!
TOM waitts would make more sense as a headliner for night 3, but y hate

I'm calling this a hoax. It's far too wish-listy and lacking the mandatory bunch of bands nobody heard of until they were announced as playing Bonnaroo. Tom Waits? Keep dreaming.

And Bob Dylan played in the past, and didn't headline, so why would he be a headliner now?

Exactly when did Bonnaroo become Coachella?

if you take out the jam bands, i.e. willie, umph's, bela, etc..i'm sure the coachella lineup will be very similar. plus, i think the police and tom waits will be like petty last year..they'll show up at a number of festivals.

This is a hoax. Tom Waits has never played outdoors. Bob Dylan played last year and wasnt a headliner. Pearl Jam? gross!!!!!!! Black Crows? who cares.

The Police are cool but why travel all the way to Tennesee to see them... I'm sure they will be touring the world and playing everywhere anyways. I will wait to see them at Dodger Stadium.

I just went to the Manchester Times website and there is not a report that resembles anything close to what was posted. Im sure this is just spam that the Bonnaroo promoters are trying to seed the market with.

i only wear the vinyl for alice and wonderland themed parties (nocturnal wonderland for example). it's part of a cheshire cat ensemble i've put together. i'm not really a fan of vinyl CLOTHING otherwise.

Ivy, please correct your statement to say that you're not a fan of v**yl cloth**g, not just v**yl. I know you're a fan of v**yl (you better be), just not v**yl cloth**g. That is all.

As for this l**eup... I mean, I'm fukk**g speechless if it's true.

It may seem wish-listy but Bonnaroo has never tried to be cutting edge like Coachella is. Paul T. seems to pride himself on having bands before they're huge. Bonnaroo is more for the tried-and-true.

The irony of having Gordon Sumner & co headline there is that there are no p.o.l.i.c.e at Bonnaroo, except in the camping area.

Exactly when did Bonnaroo become Coachella?

I'd say last year when they got Radiohead on the bill. But you're right, and Bonnaroo has no reason to try to become the next Coachella anyway, they have a shitload of people that go every year, it sells out, they make the #1 festival in the country in Billboard mag. They're on top... I still don't think I'd ever consider going though, *shrug*

i restate bonaroo wishes it were coachella. and also i think its lame to have cheap headliners from 8 generations ago, that while they were influential, have no place in a modern festival. aka that one band with *****

look I dont like them either but this is big, big news. I'll be at some other stage that's for sure, but I'm not upset they will most likely headline a day.
