"Bjorkestra, an 18-piece orchestra that does jazz takes on Bjork songs opens SFJAZZ's four-day new music "Discovery Series" Thursday at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Forum."
Has anyone heard/seen this?? It sounds like it could be either really cool or really horrible...

Yeah, I listened to a little bit of their stuff since they are playing at a club near me soon. They sound pretty good. They do loose takes on her stuff, and of course the singer sounds nothing like her (can anyone sound like Bjork? I don't think so). They have a myspace page where you can here some of their stuff.

They have a singer who is not Bjork. Fail.

Just listened to the songs... I concur with your fail. The vocals are poor and I was hoping the music would be more... experimental/challenging? Blecch.

what if Jack Johnson got his own orchestra?
