Well, it looks Sasquatch Music Festival (Quincy, Washington) Memorial Day weekend got the goods this year: R.E.M., The Cure, Modest Mouse, The Flaming Lips, The Breeders, etc. etc. (Yeah, I know The Breeders are playing Coachella 2008.) If I had only known ahead of time...........

Yes the lineup is solid.

Yes the breeders are playing both festivals.

Yes, you should have started this in the 'sasquatch' thread to avoid the heat.

Oops. My bad. I should have done the search engine thing first, or went to The Music Lounge. Sorry.

Who hasn't seen one of those acts (REM, FL, CURE) yet? Yeah yeah yeah, Coachella has weak headliners, but there hasn't been a festival announced yet that has a better overall line-up (with respect to "fresh" performers at least). I wasn't happy at the start of the month, but since then I've definitely come around.

agreed completely.
sasquatch doesnt have a single good dance act in the realm of justice/thefield/smd/sasha/aboveandbeyond

coachella is the best yet, with sasquatch in second simply because it got Beirut, Destroyer, new pornos, and the cure

I want to go each year, but the lineup never grabs me. Thing is even when a lineup doesnt grab me at coachella I know Im gonna love it. I just dont know if sasquatch has that same vibe...just one stage for most of the day doesnt seem as fun. I know there is another stage but it shuts down mid day. I like the mayhem at coachella.

Sasquatch has a good and chill vibe... and the Gorge is unreal, and you have to go there at least once... In 06 I went cause NIN and Beck were playing and had an awesome experience, even with the hail.... The camping at Sasquatch is 100x better than Coachella's camping. In 2007, I couldnt believe I was blessed with 2 beastie boys shows at Sasquatch, I could have never predicted that, along with a steller 2 day lineup. Even if you dont know the bands, its still fun to go out with your close friends, drink, enjoy music, see the awesome scenery... Sasquatch has alot to offer.

I completely agree, yeah the headliners arent the greatest for coachella but i've also slowly come around to the lineup after hearing more of the middle and bottom of the line up, im really digging MGMT they are fucking awesome and spank rock and boyz noize are also two new bands to me that im digging so i think coachella definetly has the best overall lineup and best up and coming bands!!

and ive also already seen the cure and flaming lips and REM isnt a must see at least in my opinion, but it would be really cool if maybe flaming lips were a surprise act they really do put on an amazing show!

I dont mind not knowing bands in fact I enjoy discovering new ones, although I pretty much know the bands at sas this year. I definitely want to go though, the area is amazing for sure!
