Different horse for a different course. I prefer the non peaty taste of Irish whiskey.

how do you guys intend on smuggling in said alcohol? I've been scheming for weeks yet I still haven't devised a fool-proof plan for sneaking in travel size bottles of Jack.

I have to side with fatbastard on this one; I generally opt for Scotch Whisky over Irish Whiskey.
Though thumbs down on the Glenlivet, though.
Also during the Black Keys last year I had a swig or two from a 1.75 L bottle of Johnnie Walker Red that somebody got in someway. I think that's the only alcohol I've ever had on the festival grounds. It was good.

I doubt getting a couple of single shot size bottles in would be hard. Bottom corner of your backpack ?

Holy shit, they've got that available already mixed? Must find, especially since I still have yet to try it.

To be fair, the security was really lax there.

Considering most of it is made by Protestant Scots or Catholic Irish, I doubt that that is even a consideration.

I love Bushmills... always neat, never "on the rocks or with a splash of water". Doing that is like eating a steak with ketchup.

Someday when I know whiskey better, I'll treat myself to a bottle of 16yr old Bushmills. It's $60+
My favourite now is Blackbush, I love the sherry notes.

No grains for passover, so no whisky.

Has anyone tried the Bushmills 1608? It comes out this year to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of Bushmills and is limited edition. I personally haven't even seen a bottle in stores yet...

I have a small bottle of 1608 at home but I got it two years ago. My understanding was that it was ltd.ed for sale at duty free stores only.
I will research more.
-edit- You are indeed correct, it's a ltd.ed for the 400th anniversary. I'm not sure what I have then. This anniversary edition seems to be going for ~$80 a bottle. Wow.
