Anyone bring radios/cd players to rock out to in their tents? Does it turn people on or piss people off?

Past experiences?

Wheres the beef?

You can bring portable radios. Dont bring some obnoxious boombox and blast your music for everyone to hear. You should only be able to hear your music in a 5-10 foot radius (or less).

Music is cool in the morning or afternoon, not so much at 3am.

I definitely prefer the cd player to the 30 minute drum circle jam. That is unless your cd player is blasting a 30 minute drum circle jam.

I'm bringin my mp3 player and perhaps some portable speakers (headphones are uncomfortable to fall asleep with them on)...but I'm not planning on using it except for personal use in my tent at night to drown out the noise so I can get at least 4 hours of sleep each night.

Am I the only one that slept fine every single night last year? Granted, I only got about 6 hours each night, but I never had trouble from noise, only heat. Didn't use my sleeping bag.

i sleep fine too. I use earplugs and Im usually BEAT after the show each night and am asleep by 12 or 12 30 depending on when the show ends - even when im on drugs when sleep is usually rare for me.

Might be out earlier then that. This old lady can't keep up with the young whipper-snappers anymore.

I'll have my XM boombox for the mornings. I would think that most people would have the sense to keep it low, or it would just be chaos.

At night, it'll be earplugs. I just hope the tinitus isn't worse than the drum circles.

I slept well too, due to earplugs and exhaustion.

Music is a good thing - last year everyone near us was being polite with the music, I don't remember anything loud late at night. I'd like to bring ipod + speakers, but I'm not sure I'll feel like charging throughout the weekend. Maybe just for Thursday night.

I was just to tired to care at the end of each night. As soon as we got back to the campsite we got a bag of ice and slept on it. Fell right asleep

I wouldn't bring my laptop. Mostly because it starts overheating in my 65F office, I can't imagine how quickly it'd melt in 100F :)

i would be down to do it as long as i could figure away to power a couple of small speakers. my laptop battery last like 2 hours so i could play for about that. we could have a little fun one nite. i play breakbeats/electrobreaks. if u got any ideas let me know and i will rock it for ya.

You should bring some Barry White. That will turn people on.
