Given the amount of interest in Radiohead playing Coachella on these boards (even though they already have), I thought it'd be interesting to see when people first saw Radiohead live.

I have never seen Radiohead, I coulda in 2003, but I didnt like Hail to the thief, so i didnt go...that was a mistake...but Ive been into Radiohead since The Bends came out... I 100% am catching a least 1 2008 date... Prob Vancouver, maybe Seattle, and def APW if they play it.

I'd like to retract my vote, my first time was 4/1/98 at Universal Amphitheatre here in LA. I voted 99-01 by accident.

by accident, as in it occurred by means of (or as) an accident. The action itself was an accident...i hate myself.

for majority of the board being Radiohead supporters, there is a big number who haven't seen them.

It is usually a big effort to see them if you don't live in a large center - i was a fan long before i managed to see them in 2003 at UBC but the build-up was worth it...

sadly i didn't get too much good concert traffic growing up in Regina, Saskatchewan....

I have seen Radiohead 5 times on 4 different tours. I first saw them at the SF Warfield on Sunday July 27th 1997. I went with a friend who first saw them at the SF Fillmore on the Bends tour. We were ten feet from the stage and it was the best show that I have ever been to.

set list:

karma police

dang...do they never play "Creep"?

When I saw them in 2003 at the Shoreline Amp in CA here is what Thom said before they played Lurgee:

"We don't often play songs from our first record. There are many reasons for this. Not gonna tell you any of 'em."

jonnypark

I don't think Radiohead have ever played Calgary Alberta. With this new green tour thing chances are they never will, we are a 12 hour drive from Vancouver and 11 hours from Denver.

oh.
probably because he thinks they are too dated.
except they played "Creep" at Coachella.

And he probably had the entire crowd sing the lyrics instead of himself, like in the Meeting People is Easy video.

I'm very surprised to see how many people have never seen Radiohead. I guess that partially explains why people wanted them so bad even though they would be a repeat headliner. Probably means the people on this board are a lot younger, on average, than I thought too.

I have almost every album and have yet to see them live. I tried once in 2006, but tickets sold out in like 10 minutes. Dang my slow internet connection! I'm hoping this is my year.

i feel like this thread is just a means of confirming notions of musical elitism...but whatever.

i saw radiohead in san diego 2006, we were driving from ventura county, and it was GA so we left super early, car broke down on the 405 split. frantic mental breakdown, push, tow, and 3 greyhounds later i saw radiohead, i also got food poisoning and vomited on some man WHO WOULDNT FUCKING MOVE, best concert ever.

Do i pass your radiohead supremacy test? probably not...what a shame...

My cousin saw them at macewan hall and my sister did at the saddledome so they have for sure played calgary a few times.

I've missed seeing Radiohead no fewer than three times due to totally absurd bullshit. Have never seen them as a result.

Fortunately, I'll be inducted with 6 hours of them in my home state with the most glorious fucking backdrop I could imagine.

Goldenvoice seems to know what would please me so well I'm inclined to think I could learn to like a dick in my ass if GV promoted it up there.

One of my fav songs to hear them play live and one I haven't heard since '01, is Talk Show Host.

What are peoples fav songs off of In Rainbows ?

I like All I Need, Videotape and Nude.

What do people think of the new version of Climbing Up the Walls that they played last tour ?

I thought it was pretty cool.

the best Radiohead show EVER.

First saw them as an opener for R.E.M. on their Monster tour in St. Louis. My friend and I knew who they were from 'Creep'. I remember they played (nice dream) because I turned to my friend and asked her, "is this song called 'My String'?"

I've seen them twice since then, on the HTTT and In Rainbows shows in St. Louis in 2003 and 2008, respectively. The HTTT show was one of the best shows I've ever been to, I was in the pit. The setlist from that show:

1.The Gloaming
2.2+2=5
3.Sit Down. Stand Up.
4.Where I End And You Begin
5.Airbag
6.Bullet Proof... I Wish I Was
7.Knives Out

19.Myxomatosis
20.Just
21.How To Disappear Completely
Encore 2:

23.Hunting Bears
24.After the Gold Rush
