Who gives a fuck? That dude played a guitar with two or three strings, and their music was somehow worse than their lyrics.

I don't care if they play Coachella, I'll get to see them at Belly Up in SD.

Funny story... they're actually coming HERE. Not only that, but they've been here a couple of times in the fairly recent past too.

They're playing a leap-day concert in Fairbanks; I expect I'll go with my girlfriend. She really likes them, and while I don't feel too strongly about them as a band, I do appreciate that there's at least one promoter in town who is interested in bringing actual bands here (the only other actual concerts in the next few months: Trace Adkins and Kenny G. It's a goddamn wasteland.).

Hows Anchorage for shows? Or distance for that matter? I feel bad enough with the lack of acts we get to Calgary.

Anchorage sucks nearly as bad as Fairbanks for shows, for the simple reason that if a band is willing to come all the way up here for one show, they figure they might as well play two.

That said, every now and then Anchorage will get a good show. Case in point: I'm missing the Mountain Goats in Anchorage tomorrow because I don't have any money and my sister is here from New Zealand. I'd feel bad ditching her for a couple days just to see one show.
