I'll have Thursday and Friday night(if jack johnson stays as the headliner)to drink in PS. What are some good/cool bars or lounges to drink at?
My options are open, I don't mind dives or pretentious places. A large beer selection is a plus.

Also interested in recommendations.

I once went to the Beer Hunter in La Quinta and they have a huge selection http://www.m1designs.com/websites/beerhunter/BeerMenu.htm

The Beer Hunter on Hwy 111 is awesome.
Great place to meet Euro drinkers (at least it was last year).

I'm not really interested in meeting euro drinkers but the beers look good.

The Red Barn in Palm Desert or Neils Lounge in Indio.

nice that looks good. I do plan on living it up palm springs before "roughing it" at the festival.

another great place is The Yardhouse @ The River. it's on Hwy 111 and Bob Hope Drive. Great ambience and huge beer selection. A great place to go before roughing it. The Beer Hunter in La Quinta is great. Neil's is a bit of a dive but quaint :D great people there. Also Red Robin is great after dark in La Quinta.

viceroy. its a hotel, but its cool to just have a drink... in palm springs

firehouse is alright for palm desert, its on el paseo (people will say the red barn which is ok or the village lounge which is a terrible terrible place, but i've always had a better time at the firehouse, no music though)

someone mentioned the matchbox and they are right as well...
