View Full Version : Who would you see if these bands conflicted?

I know it's unlikely to happen, but I was just curious which band you would choose to see if all 3 of these bands conflicted on Sunday.

I voted Waters because seeing/hearing "DSOTM" at Coachella is a once-in-a-lifetime sort of thing, and I'm sure I'd get the chance again for Justice and Gogol even though that would mean missing both for the 2nd consecutive year. But excitement level would be Gogol > Justice > Waters if I got to see all 3 that day.

I have to stay loyal and say Justice.

Justice>Gogol>Roger Waters...im highly curious about Waters, but I need to see Gogol aswell one day...

Roger Waters, no question. I missed both Gogol Bordello and Justice last year due to conflicts, but I would gladly do so two years running to see Dark Side of the Moon live. I'm expecting an amazing show.

Why do you get on almost every thread and bash the lineup? If you don't like it, then don't go, and I'm sure you aren't. But you're still on the message boards all the time talking about how bad the lineup is? We get it, and not all of us feel the same way. You're wasting everyone's time, mostly your own.

I've seen Gogol Bordello before, and I wouldn't pay to see Roger Waters by himself, and I'd only see Justice if the rest of the festival were deserted, so Waters gets my vote.

You're not going to have to worry about it. Waters probably isn't going to conflict with either.

Roger Waters as he's a $100 ticket by himself. Justice are a 1/3rd of that. So if I have to go see someone outside of Coachella, it's $30 vs. $100 ......

Justice.. they will have a new set up, show and new tunes!

So it looks like another Justice premiere at Coachella.. yeaah!

Here we come again!

I was there crying in the middle of the crowd in 2006 when my Daft boys killed us all...
I was there proud of my Justice kids throwing their first ever live show in 2007...

JUSTICE will perfrom a complete NEW live show. They will of course bring their classic Marshall amps, but prepare your ears for some new heavy beats.

I can pretty much guarantee that this will be my only chance to see Roger Waters, so I would have to choose him. By only chance I mean I am not going to shell out the cash to see him at another venue, Coachella happens to be the perfect place and time for me to see him.

I like to dance along with thousands of people for extended periods of time.

Justice.

Besides, I saw a bit of gogol at Vegoose and my best friend caught em @ Coachella as well. We were not impressed enough to care to see them again.

I'll be happy to see maybe a few Waters songs.

I'd probably set out with the high hopes of trying to catch a bit of each set, but ultimately it comes down to where I am and what I am feeling.

if all three conflicted it would go waters justice gogol.
gogol being last since i saw them last year. and justice is going to be touring for a while but i dont think this conflict will be a problem.

i've seen them all. Gogol Bordello at last year's Coachella was the best show i've ever seen. so by that criteria Gogol is the choice. however, DSotM at Coachella is a once in a lifetime deal . . . i just hope Gogol Bordello goes on before Waters.

D. all of the above and split up set times...people always complain about conflicts like someone is holding them in place during a set, if there is one thing i learned about coachella its try to get in as much as you can, so I split my set times when conflicts occur.

Gogol-literally the best live act I've ever seen
Waters - One of the gods of music...just happen to have seen him often lately
Justice-love them, but unfortunately someone had to place 3rd

Hopefully we won't have to worry about this conflict

gogol bordello cause they won't have as long a set as waters so it'd probably leave room to check out a little of both. and justice are playing wmc this year. i don't need to see them once again if this is a conflict.

rage patton
02-01-2008, 04:28 PM
Justice will be conflicting with Love & Rockets, not Waters.

I am betting Gogol will have a set time around 6 or 7 on the ourdoor theatre. So that won't conflict with Waters either.

But since I saw Gogol 3 times last year, I would go with Roger Waters this year.

Assuming Waters plays a long set, my answer would probably be- half of Gogol, most of Waters.

the shear spectacle that will accompany Waters will be worth it... hopefully the talk of a silent coachella for Dark Side is true and we will get to see all three! I don't know why people are so in love with Gogol, but those people probably don't understand why I'm so in love with Justice, so it's all good :)

But I will still miss their set in entirety if it means missing even the intro for Dark Side...

Luckily GV is cool enough not to make me do that!!!!

I hope....
