Hello-

I was wondering how thorough the security people search your belongings. I know that there are things they allow but for the other things - what do you guys use? Hidden compartments? Crouching?

I'm disturbed as to what 'crouching' in this context actually means.

open up your tent, like reallllllly open it up and stash your shit inside one of the pockets INSIDE your tent, than roll your tent back up put the polls n shit on top and repack it back into the bag.
When you go through checkpoint charlie they might briefly open up your tent to make sure there aint no hammers n shit but they certainly won't make you put your tent up right there and then which is the only way they'd find it.

OR

I've always wondered if the 'berlin wall strategy' might work in the campground, like if you had someone put shit in a tennis ball and chuck the ball over at night time like you were playing an innocent game of catch.

Anyways, drugs are bad, I'm talkin bout smugglin booze in (in a plastic container of course!) which amounts to a whole lotta tennis balls.

friday and saturday last year security was a joke. i smiled, they said have a nice day. on sunday because of rage security was a lot tighter. the guy almost made me throw away a hairbrush. that was a little weird. overall you don't have much to worry about. use a hidden pocket and you should be good to go.

I actually had 2 friends who did not have Sunday tickets but just walked right through with us without even a second glance. Plus we had camel backs filled with vodka and beer.

It all depends on the guard. A few years ago one guy made me throw all my water away, but most of the time they are ok with it as long as it is sealed. I also use my school backpack and one year they found all my pens and made me throw those away.

my advice....and I don't mean anything racist by this, so don't yell at me.......go to a line with a young black guy doing the searching.....in my experience, its worked every time

they tend to be a little more lax when the line is long as well

Opening night is the easiest... after you've gone through the main check-in line and get a wristband, they let you leave and come back in through another entrance. They are supposed to check your belongings at that other entrance, but it is pretty superficial.

I thought the rules said "No Ins and Outs"? You can leave and come back to the festival later?

You can go in and out of the CAMPGROUND, not the festival.

Oh jesus. Look at the date of this please.

You can go in and out of the campgrounds AND the festival (e.g. if you didn't camp). You are responding to a post when the rules were different.

No, you cannot leave. We are all trapped inside the fest until Armageddon.
