this is my first coachella and ALL my friends want to stay at a hotel...

i'm convincing them to camp with me, to make the coachella experience even better... and cheaper too...

but one of everyones main concerns is how safe is your stuff inside the tents?

i'll take a lock of course... but what types of stuff do people, or shall i say CAN people leave in their tents? (clothes? electronics? food? liquor? the devils lettuce?)

if you guys can just help me out with your past experiences i would REALLY appreciate it...

I've never had a problem but I wouldn't leave anything expensive in your tent; put it in your car before you go in for the day. It's totally worth camping, it makes the Coachella experience.

If its anything super nice/expensive you should probably play it safe and leave it in the car. That said, I've never had anything taken or heard of anyone having anything taken from their tents. If you just zip your tent up when you're not there you'll be fine.

my clothes and everclear lay untouched in my tent all weekend

I wish somebody took that everclear, though... fuck me it was a thing

i hear a lot of people saying the parking is REALLY far from the entrance...

wont it be a drag to have to take stuff to the car and get it back afterwards?

and can someone PM me on how to sneak in "goodies" to the camp site...

oh, and what would be a better idea... 2 way radios, or cell phones...

2 way radios are obviously only for 2 people.... so should i just depend on the cell for me and my posse?

thanks for the help...

i definitely gotta share some love with you guys at the campsite...

It's not that far away. The camping parking is much closer than general admission parking. I made a trip to the car each day.

I don't think camping is unsafe, but do remember hearing that some people had stuff stolen. There are thousands of people, and not everyone goes into the venue at the same time, so there is opportunity to steal if someone wanted to. Just don't leave anything valuable and you should be fine.

Cell phones - others claimed they didn't have problems, but I couldn't get calls through at night (like during or right after headliners), and my texts were really, really delayed (showed up hours later). Made it hard to try to meet up with people.

Everyone's pretty respectful, and there's lots of camps with CRAP LYING ABOUT EVERYWHERE (guess they forgot aobut the winds on Sunday night in '05 that flattened 80% of tent city). I've never had anyone steal anything. Not even fresh gallons of water sitting outside the tent 24hrs. a day.

That said. if you don't want it to melt, don't leave it in your tent.

Randy is worried about the junk in his trunk while he's sleeping in the campground.

Hi Dino.

I know I am trying to get this guy that's asking the question to not go because he's a douche. Are you on upper campus right now?

i'm not a douche!

douching is bad for you...

your vagina has natural flora that clean out all the bad stuff...

so no more summers eve for you!
