Alright, so I'm a first time attendee to Coachella and will be camping. I saw that there is a lounge in the camp area, but no outside alcohol allowed. How easy or is it possible to sneak in your own booze?

Just wondering about the search process. I don't want to go for broke buying drinks at the lounge when it's way more affordable to bring your own.

if you have a couple brain cells it should be pretty easy to figure out a way to sneak in alcohol.

Sorry Steve, lost many of my brain cells at Sasquatch, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

That seems like a lot of effort for one ounce of liquor.

Platform fish tank shoes (http://www.platinumcostumes.com/images/products/FishTankPlatsCheetahMd.jpg) get you at least two ounces.

A long as you have a sneaky hair on your body you'll be fine. Unlike the guys in front of me in the camping line last year.

Guy and his buddy get up to the search table and before the security/camp counselor people even start patting anything down the guy blurts out in a somewhat worried voice, "You don't need to look in there [the cooler] because we don't have anything were not supposed to have." The security people immediately go for the cooler and the guy's buddy, in front of everyone, starts to yell at his friend, "You're such an idiot! Oh my god, I can't believe you!" They get their booze taken away from them. Probably one of the only people who were dumb enough to have that happen to them.

So, don't be that guy and you'll be fine. All the staff at the campsite want you to have a good time as long as you can keep your cool.

They won't open your sleeping bag up during the search :-) Just do us all a favor and leave the glass at home!! The security gets REALLY mad when you bring glass in (and for good reason!)

Thanks for the info. Sneaky hair?! I must be a square because I have no idea what that is.

Great...now they're going to be making everyone open their sleeping bags or at least feeling the bags up for anything solid in them...

This post is almost as bad as saying, "You don't have to look in there..."

PM people with sneaky advice...don't make it public.

Good comment on the glass though. Transfer your stuff to something unbreakable.

If you fill it with tequila, you can eat the fish like you would the worm!

last year me and my friends downed a couple of bottles of liquor before we went in, then rushed into the campsite and puked it all out in water bottles... it worked out pretty well...

except for my friend who was having a tough time puking... that 151 must have messed his gag reflex up, we really miss that guy...

Regurgitated alcohol? Is it really worth it that much? Disgusting.

Simple. Fill up 2 plastic two liters with hard stuff, put each in a sleeping bag.

Game over.
