All this Kylie talk. why not RW? LA is his home now and Mark Ronson could back him up. Just throwing it out there.

Robbie Williams is great, but I'm not sure he's right for Coachella

Robbie would be great. Just get Neil Tennant and Neil Hannon to sing backup vocals for 'No Regrets'.

Epic.

Eh. He's had a couple of decent songs, but I'm pretty unimpressed. He's so well known in the UK and so unknown in the US. I doubt he'd want to have what would undoubtedly be a very low billing on the Coachella lineup. I doubt his ego could take that.

I think he'll go to the grave unknown in the US.

I would love to get a last minute Kylie addition, though.

just cause she's a legend doesn't make it right... i got nothing against madonna, but she surely was a performer against coachella odds..

so, why not robbie?

(btw, rethorical question here, don't need an answer)

He's too full of himself.

^And he knows it, but he's also very self depricating and the cobination of both is part of his charm. IMHO. I'd LOVE to see Robbie at Coachella as it might be the only time I'd be able to see him. Plus I heard he was at Mark Ronson's last show in LA so since he's gonna be there....

Plus, Kylie.... I'd so be up for that.

^Yes, it's the whole cheeky you're never sure when he's serious or not, but sadly I think that's why Americans don't get him.

Robbie Williams is hilarious live. I saw him at the Mayan and he played a Punk/Heavy Metal version of "Back for Good"...

He also brought out Steve Jones and Melanie Chisholm to do some songs.

Seeing him on Jools Holland doing 'Angels' with Bonnie Raitt (yes, srsly) playing slide guitar was pretty good.

Considering Robbie Williams is going to be the comeback kid this year, he's a nobrainer to headline or sub-headline Friday or Saturday.

I'd dig it.

Looks like Tom Jones is involved too.

i love Robbie! i was living in Europe at his Take That/early solo years, so i know how much of a big star he is everywhere but the U.S.

Must be sorta cool to be this huge star in one place and live in a country you're not.

But I don't think Coachella is for him.

But then again, Jack Johnson and James Blunt played Coach, so why not?

No Robbie Williams but I will say this with complete honesty, Mark Ronson was by far the best live act last year. Sounded just as pretty as the album and brought out everyone that worked with him on it on stage.. pretty big deal.

A lot of people missed it to Portishead and they toured every US city.. Mark Ronson did not.

Five out of five for me... I wouldn't mind seeing him again however that isn't going to happen.
