View Full Version : Bet on more 2nd line adds to come...

Just looked back at the old posters and realized there are usually three artists/bands on the second line.

This year's poster only has two "second line bands" on each day.

Should we be expecting 3 more big names to pop up before it's all said and done?

they'll see how tickets are selling before they add anybody.

i had a dream

it went like this

"radiohead to headline coachella and all points west!"

radiohead is not doing bonnaroo, is on tour, supports "green" events, expressed concerns over arena tours.

what better way to get a big west crowd, and big east crowd?

jack johnson can play right before them on friday night.

work is boring

I've got a feeling this is going to play out more like 2006.

yeah...I see a couple of big names being added just because I honestly don't see where their money went unless its all in production.

I don't know how much tickets where for Roger W in the states, but a friend of mine so him in Mexico and the cheapest ticket were around $175. So... if thats the case, I would assume that RW was really expensive to book.

So? Does that make them as big as previous bands with their exact lineup spot like Sigur Ros and Air? No. As good? Also no, but that's besides the point.

I can't believe I've never seen that. Incredible. Mark my word, they will put on an epic set at the polo field.

My prediction is that MMJ, Verve, Raconteurs, Kraftwerk, Pendulum, Breeders, Justice, and Roger Waters will be the shows everyone will be raving about when it's all over. IMHO.

I read something about him touring the audience's listening as an opener for shakira on a tour through mexico and then central/south america.
sorry. random and off topic. I'm just excited to see cut chemist on wednesday.

It's a great video. I posted it in a different thread. They're a great live act, in my opinion. I haven't always quite agreed with the jam band label, but whatever they're labeled, I still think it's an awesome show. Whether they belong on the 2nd line or not, I don't know, but I personally would hope they play when it's dark out.

Hah. The poster just changed. Now it's all one big weekend. Maybe it's GV's way of demoting JJ. Now if they could just move him under The Breeders, we'd all feel a whole lot better.
