NME confirms Queens of the Stone Age will reunite with a recently sober and dwarves-free Nick Oliveri. Nick said in an inteview with Rip it Up magazine nov '07 "I can't wait to get back to the desert and play the big coachella music festival on the third day." I personally will be offended if they don't play Ode to Clarrisa.

I read in zijidan monthly qotsa's drummer is a little light in the wrist.

But in all seriousness if they are announced I'm firing up the IROC and getting my ass down there.

Bullshit - Nick said that two months ago and no one has talked about it? No word of it on the Queens boards.
Nick is never coming back to Queens. He's full on with Mondo Generator and Michael Schuman is firmly planted as the new QOTSA bassist.

What you said goes directly against NME (March issue). I call you sir. bullshit.

What? You're defending an article that you don't even know exists? Just because some random guy posted this "news" on the Coachella boards (even though no QOTSA board member has heard of this) you're going to call bullshit on others who question it?
You're a prime canidate for joining a cult or losing all your money to a televangelist.

This Ulcer guy is an idiot. He started a thread saying RILO KILEY cancelled their appearence at coachella without any evidence.

My loyal steed is an '86. Its original...no restoration. Its hard work to keep this monster looking good. NO PRIMER! This one is cherry. I take this baby down HWY 74 all the time.

Visually, not too much changed on the 86 IROC. The government mandated 3rd brake light found its way to the top of the rear hatch near the roof line. Curiously, rear window louvers became a factory option this year. Some of the 86 IROCs came with the new 140mph speedometer. 86 was also the first year for the base coat/clear coat paint system as standard equipment.

They just played here in the valley last month. I'm sure while they were here 20 minutes from the polo fields they would have said something.

hmmmm.... all can say is it is probably not true, BUT i will hold onto hope, because that would be HUGE, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! and the line up really does need something of that caliber....
i saw qotsa in december, and they were awesome, best time i'd seen them in years, but i do still miss Nick... I would be just as happy to see Mondo Generator added.

I think QOTSA would be a great act for Sunday or Saturday. Sunday would be better though. They could play either before Roger Waters or Love & Rockets. MMJ could play before them... or could play a set on the Outdoor theatre. It would be great w/ or w/o Nick.
Saturday would be great too... but I have a feeling if they did, they would play on the outdoor theatre against Portishead and/or Kraftwerk.

If they dropped Love & Rockets for Qotsa I wouldn't shed a tear.
