Saw them play at the Orpheum Theatre in LA back in November and they were great. I'm glad they're finally getting a chance to play at the Coach.

I agree it's not their best, but solid. I missed them in November so I can't wait to see them :)

what is their best song off their new album? I heard the title track and really liked that one...

The new album is definitely not as strong as Set Yourself On Fire, but it is still good. Seen them a few times, check them out if you haven't.

I'm gonna pass.

They have the greatest album name ever (i.e. 'In our bedroom after the war')...too bad the music is shite.

i saw them in october at the glass house
it wasnt a scheduled stop on their tour so there were only like 100 people there (or less)...they were handing out flowers and we were so close to the stage that amy millan actually put a rose on top of my friend's head and like winked at him. it was SOOOOOOOOOO cool.

I'm gonna skip Stars. I've seen them twice already and the last time wasn't that impressive. Their albums are fantastic but I think they are better in small more cozy venues...that's what I've found anyways. Also, Torquil (I think that's his name) is such a show off and it makes me mad. Plus, I have a feeling they'll conflict with someone I wanna see more.

Right. that's what the "huh?' was for. I wouldn't even touch Stars with somebody elses ears. Their last record was total fluffy Britcrap, but from Canada. Hrm.

Cmon Boourns... It wasn't that bad.

They played "Going Going Gone" which is one of the best Stars songs EVER. I'm so glad they actually STILL play stuff off of Nightsongs.

Stars are playing The John Ford Theater in LA, have yet to go there so I think its a must since I only got to hear one song from far away at coachella. Its worth it to check em out for me. Also excited that the faint are coming back!

Agreed. They were boring. I expected them to be much better and I was sad that I left Manchester Orchestra early to see their full set.

if something doesnt grab you at coachella you are supposed to move on...dont fall into the "maybe itll get better" trap. save those for when you see a headline show not a fest...I too learned the lesson the hard way many years ago.

EDIT: and this has nothing to do with the subject but DAMN Moon Safari by Air sounds incredible on vinyl!

nice...

yeah, i walked over towards the beginning of their set and it was just too hot and too early for something that lite i guess (although i went and watched Duffy instead, and liked her much better)... i remember kate nash and some of goldfrapp suffering the same fate... i think they would've been MUCH better on the Outdoor... same with Goldfrapp (and she really should've gone on after it was MUCH darker)

I would have walked away, but there was no one else I wanted to see at that time (besides the last 5 minutes of Manchester Orchestra). I've also learned the hard way (at Coachella) that you shouldn't stick around if a band is horrible.

pretty impressive crowd there though...I think it would be much better at night at the ford theater which is across from the hollywood bowl.

The crowd was ok... they were all packed in tight from the sides, so it looked bigger than it was from the youtube clip. I was up close at the beginning of their set, but then had to use the can, so when I got back I just sat in the grass on the side. Still got a great view.

They were ok... just a pleasant relaxing way to start the day. And they aren't the most "high energy" group, so if that's what people were expecting I can see how they were disappointed.

The one thing that made sitting or standing through that set much more bearable- it got overcast right as they were taking the stage, so the sun wasn't beating down on us as much.

the overcast let in a cool refreshed feeling. and the band played refreshing music. it worked well together. any hotter and the show would have been difficult to sit through. one word to describe the show: delightful.

i also gotta say half the audience was there for gogol. and another half of that half was there til the end.
