Forget all the Led Zeppelin,Radiohead,Boards of Canada,The Knife,Bowie & Prince pipe dreams.Who are the 3 acts that you feel could've been on the lineup, and weren't?
Mine are The Pogues,Band Of Horses & Magnetic Fields.

i still have hope for Underworld. Sunday definately has some room for a major Sahara addition. As well as a half dozen other adds.

I'm almost with Ben on this one. I was absolutely convinced that we'd get a Groove Armada return. Ulrich Schnauss and Boards Of Canada. Seriously, when are we going to get Boards? Haven't we been talking about them coming for at least 6 years? I personally love the line-up though. I don't know if I will have the energy to dance to all the great electronic acts that we have!!!!!

I would think that they would be a really high candidate for a late add. They have a new album release concert in Feb., where they will announce an upcoming tour schedule.

We can talk about them every year, but it won't change anything. They don't play live shows, so it is pretty unrealistic to expect them.

I would say more hip-hop but it really is a studio genre and it doesn't translate well in a live setting...

here's mine.

The Mars Volta (whatever is left, just from hearing their last album, looks like we lost them.)

Destroyer... great new album... missed the new pornos last year too..

Muse... saw'em about two years ago, I thought they'd make a nice sub-headliner. or pretty good one by just comparing it to the ones on the actual poster... but then again, it's never been about the headliners for me... it's gonna be a great year.

SurLaCarte--Dude, Burial has to be considered a pipe dream. Why would a DJ who's going anonymous play Coach? I mean, it would be fantastic and all, but I don't see any way it happened...

OK, my 3 (based on how difficult they are to see, coupled with a few other factors)

British Sea Power--new album out and is fucking fantastic, plus they killed in 2005
Alcest- If there was any way for Niege to replicate his studio sound, say with the help of a backing band? Maybe this one is about as ridiculous as Burial, but damn, I want to see Alcest and have no idea when/if I'll ever get to see them if not stateside at a fest...
A Place to Bury Strangers- Just so loud... Playing SXSW, so they'll be out there. Really thought this would happen.

though you all have mentioned some good ones, specifically:
Underworld
Okkervil River (luckily I've caught them several times)
Band of Horses (seeing them play on Superbowl Sunday at La Zona Rosa)
Magnetic Fields-This one made too much sense. New album surprisingly fresh.

Sure there is more... Been listening to a lot of In the Red records: Jay Reatard, Mark Sultan, King Khan & BBQ---any of them would have made a nice lower card addition. Oh, and A Shoreline Dream would be nice sometime. Jeez, I could go on and on...

I've never had a problem with Jimmy Eat World (JEW? fun acronym). I like them and wouldn't mind seeing them either.

Not sure anyone should give you shit about liking them if bands like DCFC (I also like these guys quite a bit, flame on) and Jack Johnson fit Coachella's bill.

Yeah. they said they were hoping to do a short US tour in the spring, one of the stops being at Coachella. They just announced their UK tour which starts in early Summer. Methinks they are still finalizing dates in the U.S. and want to focus on promoting their UK dates right now. I still say there is a good chance they might be added to the lineup.
