Well it seems hat all of my friends who are really into electro and house and dance music are all pretty blown away by this years dance line up. I am kinda in the dark to alot of the DJ's and acts. As far as the Rock bands go, it seems as though there is a void, needed additions in this part of the line up. So, who are some of the dance acts and rock bands that I should be looking into?

I agree this list is drastically not what any of us expected but.. The lack of rock is starting to become digestible. I mean there ARE a lot of good acts slated

If you put all three day together you do have a good list of Electronic acts. But if you look at it day by day, there really are only 1 or 2 good options each day. Fatboy Slim for Fri (IMHO that would be enough); Kraftwerk + Sasha and Digweed for Sat; Danny Tenaglia and maybe Dimitri from Paris (a little overrated IMHO)for Sunday. All other acts are fillers.

Rock really sucks. Waters for Sunday was the only thing that really got me excited.

I forgot Justice for Sunday. Probably the best reason to show up on Sunday besides RW.

Massively seconded.

On a side note, before Coachella last year I wasn't really into most dance stuff but the Sahara tent single handedly converted me. The whole set up and the vibe in there was like nothing I had ever experienced. Its just all about staying upbeat and having a good time... how can you not like that?

I'm stoked that many people in the know think that the Sahara will be bumpín again this year. Can't wait.

my sentiments exactly. I wondered into Carl Cox's set in 2006 and was blown away. I ended up staying in the Sahara far longer that year than I ever thought

Modeselektor and James Zabiela.

Freeland surely will drop a lot of dance remixes of rock tracks, though, so you might like it.

Shit, I’m getting so excited already and we're still three months away. This is only going to get worse once I order the tickets and receive them in the mail. Then once the beginning of April rolls around it gets even worse because now were in the same month!!!!!... *Sigh*. It's going to be a long three months... again.

Same thing here...Walked into the Sahara 3-4 years ago and really like the energy and people there. Didn't have a clue who was playing, and when Prodigy came on, I was sold! Suffacated and I make that tent our meeting place if we happen to roam seperate ways during the fest.. In 2006, I bet we spent a good part of the fest there, only to experience in my oppinion, the best part of that year's fest...DAFT PUNK! I was then "OWNED" as some of you would say. I'm looking forward to hangin' there again, but will make it a point to venture cuz you never know what Coachella has to offer until you open your eyes to it.

I'm sure many of the DJ's will play some Pink Floyd tracks.

I'm also sure NO ONE will play Jack Johnson tracks.

Jack is a big Fatboy Slim fan. Jack will be special guest during the Fatboy Slim set.

Uh. I'm pretty sure Fatboy Slim closes out the Sahara the same time Jack closes the main stage.. So that might be pretty hard to do..
