View Full Version : Who's the Most Disappointing Absentee?

For me, it's definitely Goldfrapp. With all the "confirmations" it seemed like a sure bet. I suppose there's still time for them to get added, but I'm not holding my breath.

Wasn't Perry supposed to be at this press conference too?! Yeah Porno For Pyros would save the day!

Maybe they couldn't get PJ Harvey, well, with that big thick gown she's got for her act now. Things could get pretty gamey under those threads out in Indio! Seeing her perform, though, is a rare and special opportunity that really could be showcased well - by Coachella, or so I thought.

I thought for certain we'd see The Prodigy though, wasn't it on their flippin Myspace at one point?! Man.

Ah well, I'm going regardless, but it just feels better to piss and moan a lil bit. There are a bunch of bands I'll enjoy immensely.

Aphex Twin
Boards of Canada
My Bloody Valentine
The Knife
Chemical Brothers
Blur
Morrissey
Swervedriver
Prince
2ManyDJs
Orbital
Primal Scream
Wu-Tang Clan

I know a lot of these were pretty unlikely, but seeing as the band members (well, almost all of them - RIP ODB) are still alive, etc., not out of the realm of possibility ... if one or more of them DO get added on, I will be extremely satisfied ... Being from NJ, at least I can hold my breath one more time this year, so all might not be lost ...

For me, I actually don't really mind that Radiohead won't be there. I would obviously have no objections to them headlining, if it were the case, but I'm going to see them anyways when they're touring so it'll be nicer to have a venue just to themselves, and definitely a lot cosier than a huge field. I guess all I'm trying to say is that I'm going to see them this year eventually anyways, so it's not a huge loss. STOP PINING for Radiohead people, they have their tour and their cities. See them there!

If they had headlined Coachella, I would've guaranteed been able to see them. Tickets for their U.S. tour, as you may or may not know, do not spend as much time waiting to be sold as Coachella tickets do.
