I am staying in a hotel in Palm Springs. What can I expect in terms of traffic to and from the event each day? What time should I be leaving each morning to get to the festival if I want to be in the gates as close to the start as possible?

Traffic on the freeway from Palm Springs to the venue is about 20-30 minutes. But once you get on the offramp and start driving on the streets to the venue..it will take about an hour...just because it gets jammed near the venue.

What time would you plan on arriving?

Leave at around 9-10 am take I-10 east and get off on the washington exit take washington to ave 50 make a left you'll be there with plenty of time as everyone will be getting off the jefferson & monroe exits and make those streets become bumber to bumper traffic trust me im from Indio it will save you anywhere from 1/2 hr to 45min because everyone only comes in through those exits and youll cut around them I guess thats what comes out Map quest only.

Definately. Do NOT take the Jefferson exit. There's construction on Jefferson about 1 mile from the off-ramp. They're building a bridge and knowing how bad the construction companies are over here it might not be finished by the time Coachella is around.

Paul where are you?? How can you party it up in Mexico after mumbling Jack Johnson as a headliner- give us something!

And I agree with this notion. "They are having Fun" "Tricks up there sleeves" there better be - my newbie group isnt too happy about this
