Anybody ever stay here? It was one of the last hotels to sell-out, so I am wondering why.

Thanks!

Hey, I'm staying there too. High-fives. It looked pretty nice from the photos and it's conveniently located betwixt the airport and the polo grounds.

I know it will be a nice place...just curious as to why it took so long to fill up.

hotels.com still has hundreds of rooms available.

I know prices are going up, but why is everyone claiming rooms are gone?

I recognize a cheap motel 6 room when I see one.

Joe-no idea why it hasn't filled up. I'm just happy it was reasonably priced and it's a Hilton-which means I'm going to get about 20,000 AMEX points out of the weekend.

Actually, I only wish that the Motel 6 in Indio that I stayed at in 04 was so palatial. I have no idea where that photo where that came from but I've got higher hopes for the Hilton. Capt, don't you work somewhat in the industry?

Yeah, I work for an airline. I've seen lots o' hotel rooms. That really looks like a Motel 6 bedspread.

Ah, I see. I always banish those bedspreads to the floor after I do my UV sweep. TV remotes too.

Holy cow..I've never thought about the TV remotes.....gross.

I always ditch the bedspread and try to remember to bring my own pillow (if i'm driving) and flip flops for the shower.

Every Japanese karaoke suite I've been in has always had the remote wrapped in Saran Wrap. Don't wanna know why, but I'm sure it's there for a reason.

Invisiblerobots, this is going to make me want to start traveling with Saran Wrap. Which is going to make me look really neurotic. Thanks for nothing.

This hotel was called something else before, it's still in the process of being remodeled but looks like its almost done.

Yeah, I think I read that somewhere. I don't really care as long as it's clean, air conditioned, and has a pool. I'll be spending all morning in it.
