I've kept a pretty good list of confirms (both solid and not-so solid) as well as likely, and not so likely artist on my blog. Check it out if you wish, I update it on the regular. Comment with suggested changes as well if you want. About two weeks and counting, can not wait!

i just read a bulletin post by lady sovereign on myspace. she says "so, you probs know already..... i'm touring with gwen stefani in america and canada for 41 shows starting april 27..... the dates are on my page..... i'm well excited!" however, on the tour stops list there are only 37 dates posted (if you don't count the london date). which means, there are 4 days not listed. one of which is april 29th (after phoenix az, before slc ut. which would put indio just about in between the two stops). with the recent speculation of gwen stefani playing coachella, i'd say there's a pretty good chance that both will be at coachella this year. either that, or i'm just way too excited at the possibility of seeing lady sovereign again.

KungFuJoe
01-19-2007, 10:25 AM
Ugh. I like Lady Sovereign's music for the most part. It's a lot of fun. However I have no desire to ever see her live again. Her set at Coachella was pretty much a bore. I'd much rather see M.I.A. again.

If she is there, at least it's one less conflict I would have to worry about.

Um yeah.

Having people so jazzed about your festival, that they make fake line ups and talk about it all the time, is NOT fucking GV over. Other events would kill to have that excitement and loyalty.

Also, pissing off your core audience is NOT a good way to promote this loyalty and excitement. I hardly think GV is purposely fucking with us, oh sure they might try to throw a few of us off at times, but nothing out of the norm. We all get to specualte and that's half the fun, if they bamboozle us, then we win anyway! Unless of course, its the Chili Peppers they are holding as their trump card.

Think of it this way, they are under the gun a little here, they have to come up with 3 decent headliners that would continue Coachella's great tradition of solid big headline acts, good reunions, exculsives, new artists, etc... If they don't, its their festival to bury, so its all good my friends, all good. Just because I think The ****** are confirmed, does not make it so. I just make educated guesses.

It's completely possible THE P0LICE will headline. If Paul C. offered Morrisey and JM, 5 mil to pull a Smiths reunion, anything is possible. I think I heard Gwen Stephony say how much of a P0LICE fan she is, so i bet she's at this years show performing. who knows??? I wouldn't mind seeing PRINCE, Bowie also as headliners. RHCP, Smooshing Plumpkins and REM can stay home.. yawn..
I haven't heard that many leaks about hip hop or EDM acts this year, other than Lupe, Mastrcrft and digitialism... i usually go just for the EDM. Would love to see Justice, BookaShade, Eric Prydz, SoulWax or 20:20 Soundsystem this year..

The Information is way better than Guero and Sea Change. Sea Change was a snooze fest, minus three or four engaging songs.

i dont think stefani will play since she has 3 shows within a 4 days span which means if she did perform it would be on her off day so 4 in a row? unheard of for any type of major performer who does arenas but who knows. she sold out so might as well sell some more...

Gwen Stefani is already playing LA on the 27th of April at the Gibson Amphithearte. So shes most likely not going to be playing this Coachella. Phew!

If Paul C. offered Morrisey and JM, 5 mil to pull a Smiths reunion, anything is possible.Especially if Paul C. does it. I hope he's reading this.
