New album in March. Sahara tent headliner. I have no source but you gotta admit it'll probably happen unless Bonnaroo grabs him as a late night set.

GREAT!
I think moby might be to big for the sahara.
Hes been talking alot about some band hes been playing with in and round NYC.
Wonder if he would get an early slot for them in the gobi. and do
double duty playing in the evening.

Moby is great live, especially if he plays some of his early stuff and stays away from his sleepy stuff.

"Go" is fantastic live.

Best song ever! I love that album (animal rights) and I don't dig much of his other stuff. He rocked.

Where'd you see him and what was he playing?

If he fit God Moving Over The Face Of The Water into the set somehow it would rank among my five most desired things on ecstasy.

I saw him at a party at a hotel up here in Los Angeles. He played quite a bit of minimal. It was pretty boring to tell you the truth.

Yeah, in a social setting that would suck - but the sleepy side of Hotel is great to fall to sleep to.

He's good at what he does.

I saw him back in 2000 at the KROQ Weenie Roast. I was about 13, I don't remember much. I remember liking it though.

Moby is responsible for one of my favorite Coachella moments. At the first one he was performing on the outdoor stage (well they all are outdoors aren't they?) and was doing a great, kick ass Moby show (for those of you who have never seen him, "Thousand" should fuck up your being for a bit). Then he was talking to us (the audience) about how awesome Coachella was and had all the lights turned off so we could soak in the stars. Simple and wonderful. "Hell yes" on Moby.

Eminem Rushed To Hospital During Holidays

MC was hospitalized for complications due to pneumonia.

Eminem was rushed to the hospital over the holidays due to complications from pneumonia.

A statement released Tuesday (January 8) by Eminem's label, Interscope Records, reads: "Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem, was under doctors' care at Detroit-area hospitals for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."

TMZ cited "sources" as saying the Em's weight has exceeded 200 lbs., although a source close to the rapper questioned that account when asked about it by MTV News.

Eminem has largely been off the radar since the release of his Shady Records official mixtape, The Re-Up, in December of 2006. The last time we heard from him was on September 12, when he phoned into radio host Angie Martinez's afternoon show on New York's Hot 97 while she was interviewing 50 Cent. Em called to support his artist and friend. When asked about his own projects, Em described himself as being "in limbo" but said he is always in the studio working. However, he also told Martinez that he wasn't sure if or when he would be putting out a new LP, although he did seem excited about the prospect of releasing music from his artists.

"It feels good right now, the energy of the label," he said. "For a while, I don't wanna go back to the negative stuff. ... Going through some personal things, coming out of those personal things, it feels good."

On New Year's Eve, Eminem was interviewed live on Sirius Satellite Radio by Cipher Sounds. Em was light hearted and cracked jokes as he talked about the albums in his catalog.

However, apart from 50 Cent, the only project Shady Records released last year was an EP by new artist Cashis. The long-delayed debut of Atlanta spitter Stat Quo still has not been released, and D12 members have pursued solo projects, like Bizarre's independently released Blue Cheese & Coney Island.

It's been long speculated in the industry that both Eminem and D12 would put out projects this year there was even a fake album cover bearing the name "King Mathers" floating around the Internet. However, no official announcement has been made by Shady Records regarding its 2008 releases.

How could Hot Chip headline the sahara???!!! If any band has a chance I would give it to the Faint. I don't see that happening though.

Because I think they are at that level. Either that or a night set on the Outdoor. The Faint would be amazing!!!!

I see them more as an outdoor theatre act at this point. I just don't think they've matured that much as a band. Even The Rapture, whom I think have developed into a great band needed to basically be "towed in" by the LCD Soundsystem.

Any bands that anyone can think of that may be potential Sahara headliners?
