I have a lot of expenses in January, and I'm trying to budget. Does anyone think prices will have gone up this year? I remember tickets last year, after fees and taxes, were around $270 for a three-day pass and camping was $40, if I remember correctly.

Anyone want to clarify?

I paid $330 for the 3-day pass & camping after all the ticketmaster fees last year (non presale). Hopefully it doesn't go up in 08...

Non-presale tickets were $337 last year, after fees. So if you don't have the presale code (maybe there isn't even presale for next year), save $400 just in case for tickets + camping.

Just buy them when there is a presale and save some green.

Thats the plan, if there is a presale...

Camping was $45 for the weekend, + shafting fees and taxes.

In Canadian dollars, my tickets and camping cost me almost exactly $400. But now, our dollar is basicaly on par with yours, and I am getting presale. So I will probably be saving about $100 this year. YES!

If you can make it to Pomona @ The Glass House when PF lets us know, you can save some Ticket Shafter fees. Of course, ya gotta figure in the price of gas.

Camping for Stagecoach is $50.

it's not that bad, just go on a weekend during mid morning, probably a little over a half hour each way.

LA to Pomona is a killer?

Seriously. I made the trip to Pomona at least fifteen times. It's fine. As long as you don't go during rush hour it's 45 each way tops.

don't you have to have attended before to sign up for that community though?

and yeah, for me, la to pomona would be a killer in january because my weekends are absolutely full. january is going to kill me. i somehow have to buy a $3500 camcorder, budget for coachella tickets, budget for sundance tickets, budget for expenses while i'm at sundance (food, etc.), and have enough money for gas, groceries, and textbooks for the new semester.

Ducatking presale and be done with it. $220 total for your 3 day pass. And why dont you get somebody to get you a camping ticket at The Glass House? Tessa made a trip this last time to get them for people, you just have to get the money to her.

Ducatking only came to $220 after services charges, taxes, etc.? Seriously? Saving an extra hundred dollars on tickets will be definately be helpful.
I just remembered Sasquatch goes on sale about two or 3 weeks after Coachella. Febuary is gonna be an expensive month for me.

Yeah, but even if Zeppelin are there, I highly doubt I will go. Even though I really, really want to.
Damn you Vegoose! I would regret you... if you weren't so much damn fun!

I am totally doing ducat king. I have enough dough stashed away for Radiohead tix AND Coachella tickets now. All is finally well.

How's that? You have to go to Sundance for school? How can they do that, Sundance is absurdly expensive. I have a friend who went a couple years ago, and even putting aside the fact that he spends money in a fashion that makes me think he needs to be culled, just getting tickets and housing and affording fun around there is well over a grand. Aren't the ticket packages 750 alone?

The progression of previous year pricing shows that prices will go up.

by that logic the number of days will increase as well.

the price stayed the same 03-06. (possibly earlier too, I didn't attend until 03). I would be surprised if it increased this year.

I'm afraid tickets will go up this year. After all, GV has to pay for all those free passes they gave out to the Will Call people from last year.

you have to have bought tickets previously online. Where you were then given a code to register for microcomunity. At least this is how it worked last year.
