Besides going home, where does everyone else go after the show? I usually head for the mountains, away from the desert.

I'll admit that sometimes I go to the Cabazon outlets too.

That's exactly what I did after Coachella 2006, and before I take my bus, for my long trip back home.

CABAZON OUTLETS!! I've probably done that before. I know we hit that on various Disneyland excursions.

Breakfast in Palm Springs, and then straight home to see my baby girl. This year though she'll be staying with us (my mom'll watch her during the day), thus I'll be able to see her everyday. So we'll probably head to the sky tram and visit the trees.

Hitchhike to Palm Springs, wait in the airport for 24 hours with no money was how I played it last year.

I advise against waiting in the airport for 24 hours with no money, but hey, my wallet got stolen and I was on a miles ticket... what was I going to do?

Snakeface

I forgot about the tram. that's always nice and terrifying. eating del taco and sitting in a moving vehicle for any amount of time however is just terrifying. the pumpkin said it all. del taco = rapid food expulsion. possibly in two spray formats.

Smart to bring your mom! If you stay somewhere with a pool, it'll probably be a nice little vacation even without going to the festival.

coachella 07 it was stopping at a gas station outside of palm springs on Monday morning and playing scratch-its for 20 minutes (god i love those things) then we hit up Jack-in-the-box for breakfast. 13 hours later we reach home.
In 08' we are going to try and spend Monday and Tuesday recovering by the ocean..

Oh yes. After 8 years, we've got it all figured out. We've got a house with a pool, jacuzzi and access to golf and tennis. Also my Mom grew up in Palm Springs, so it just makes too much sense.

I am a 3 hour drive away from Indio, so my plan is to drive home and sleep and somehow recover from taking four days away from my studies that close to finals.
(Or, as I naively try every year, I can always bring my books with me to the camp-site)

We went to Del Taco after Coach in '06 (after Tool), and we must've waited in the drive-thru lane for about an hour. My brother was driving, and my husband and I got out and walked to Wal-Mart because we had to pee. Fun fun fun!
