Going through the MySpace pages for the Coachella bands this year, and listening to Julieta Venegas I realized I don't have any Spanish music (other than Mars Volta and Santana). Any recommendations?

Argentina:Babasonicos, Gustavo Cerati (Latin Rock Legend), Fito Páez, Adres Calamaro, Soda Stereo, Juana Molina,
Mexico: Zoé, Kinky, Café Tacvba, Porter, Liquits, Fobia, Los Bunkers, Ely Guerra, Jaguaras, La Barranca.
Spain:Enrique Bunbury, Jarabe de Palo, Los Planetas, Macaco, Héroes Del Silencio.
Puerto Rico:Circo, Fiel A la Vega, Vivanativa.
Other: Jorge Drexler, Los Aterciopelados, Superlitio, Mano Negra. Los Amigos Invisibles. Caramelos de Cianuro.
there's really a lot of defunct bands in Rock en Espanol that are worth mentioning. this is a list bands that are still going strong or reuniting , like Heroes Del Silencio, I'm really excited about that, it's almost as big as Rage's reunion.

If the rest of the civilized world likes MTV nowadays, I can see why they disagree with me. Libido used to be good, original, but now they just remain as a shitty sad copy of Oasis. Nobody can deny that. I still like their old songs tho, Casa de los gritos and En Esta Habitacion are not bad.
Ive not heard about El Diario de Hank, but I can recommend a really good instrumental peruvian band, Los Belkins.
Some more,
Chile representing, Lucybell.
Argentina, Gustavo Cerati. Los Fabulosos Cadillacs.
Mexico, Maldita Vecindad.

Check out Miles Davis's "Sketches of Spain." It's good. Also check out a lot of Chick Corea's stuff... ie. Touchstone, My Spanish Heart.
If you mean Afro-Cuban stuff, listen to the Palmieri's. Eddie and Charlie. Uhh, of course these guys are all jazz type. I don't know if that's what you meant. Batacumbele are good too.

E
1.-Because, as you said, she is "timeless"
2.-Because, we can never have enough Tigresa del Oriente
3.-Because, I think I already posted the same video on some other thread. (I know, I need some new material)
PS Even though I bow down to the greatness that is La Tigresa del Oriente, there are no words to describe the feeling I get when I listen to "Torres Gemelas" by the magnificent Delfín Quishpe.
