Honestly, Santa Barbara. Much smaller venue and beautiful scenery. This and the Gorge are the two best venues I have been to.

I think the SB Bowl is smaller and it's a pretty cool venue but I also had pit and have no idea how the seating is. Personally I love the Hollywood Bowl and for me even sitting at the way top wasn't so bad.

I have the same question, but I think I'm favoring the Santa Barbara Bowl because it is on a thursday. Regardless, I'm seeing RH in Houston in May. So if I can't make the Cali dates, it won't be as big a problem.

both are great venues with pros and cons. hollywood bowl has better acoustics. its also much bigger, so if you are stuck in the back, you are pretty far away, but it still sounds good. sb bowl is smaller, and a better scenery. since its smaller, it will also be harder to get tix. it will probably sell out in like half a second, so as far as getting tickets go, you have a better shot for la. the only bad thing about the sb bowl is that they have a really early noise curfew, so shows have to end early, meaning thay start really early too. last couple times i went there it was still light out for the first 30-45 mins. of the headliners set. hollywood bowl is nice when they let you bring wine in, not sure if they will do that this time or not though. another bad thing about the hw bowl is that if you are up front, their are tons of rich, pretentious la types that are just there to be seen and dont really give a shit about the music.
