This website (http://jihan.sblo.jp/) appears to be some Japanese guy who takes a photograph of the exact same vending machine every single day and then posts the results, circling any changes (ie. a new product on sale, or a sticker someone put on it, graffiti, etc.)

How odd.

This is what happens after stef's blown his load on the Asian porn sites. He starts surfing while cleaning up.

If you go to Japan or any Asian country, they can turn a television into a watch. They're very creative.

This reminds me of a warped version of the movie Smoke. Every day at the same time, Harvey Keitel's character would take a picture of the street outside his cigar shop. The Vending Machine Photo Series seems to be a just a more boring variation of that.

Also similiar to Amelie, in a different context...

The guy would collect the discarded photos of strangers from passport photo booths at the subway station..

It seems like lots of people have borrowed from Amelie like the Traveling Gnome in the Travelocity commercials.

And at least in Amelie there was a method to his madness. He was fulfilling his loneliness of his own life by borrowing the happiness of others.

And there was the mystery of the man who appeared in every photo at every photo booth.
