Who here is planning on going? Do you think they'll sell-out the Forum? I have a bet with a friend that they will...

I'm hoping not, because if it doesn't sell out, I wil be able to get a ticket real cheap at the last minute.

Need to be saving my $$ for Coachella :P

I would guess they can. Muse fans are fairly rabid. And annoying.

They are headlining, supporting act TBD and I think the capacity is around 18K.

wow, they've gotten big in the US really quickly. I remember seeing them at the Wiltern in either late 04 or early 05. They do put on a good show, but I woulnd't go to the Forum to see them.

18,000 capacity at the Forum, and I just saw them play to the sub-1000 capacity Soma in San Diego less than a year ago. Talk about overnight...

well, the quick catapult from relative unknowns to massive success is pretty much overnight here in the states. They've been big in Europe for quite a while, if I'm not mistaken. I remember the fans obsessing over them before Coachella 04.

Speaking as someone who worked at Maverick when they were on Maverick and first put out "Showbiz" and now works at their current label, Warner Bros., it hasn't really been overnight... ;)

Muse headlined the main stage at Glasto in 2004.

British indie kids tended to slag on them back when I was first hearing Showbiz and Origins of Symmetry and being blown away. I should've listened to them, though.

I like Muse but I can only take so much.

Since when are Muse big?
They didnt even have a sucessful radio single off thier last album did they? I never remeber hearing one anyways.
In fact, the only Muse songs have ever heard on the radio is Time Is Running Out and Hysteria.
And those werent even huge songs.
well good for them. Wtf were they doing opening up for MCR though?

In other news, The Killers have apparently sold out Staples Center. I will now light myself on fire.

I checked last night on ticketbastard's website, and it says ...

SORRY try best avail blah blah blah for a query on tickets.

You can't start lying to me if we're going to become partners in a firm, fober. And this is off the books too. I've been left out on tickets with this one and need one.

Row 19?

That's not the flipping pit!

Do I look like a middle-aged, buy watered down mix drinks, sit in seated areas, type of concert goer? I want to be in the pit.

Obstructed view tickets don't count. Fuck.

So who is opening? Muse always has complete and utter shit bands opening for them, it's weird. It's like they are afraid of being upstaged or something.

No question that they wouldn't sell out the Forum.

In other news, The Killers have apparently sold out Staples Center. Sure, I've heard that half the tickets were label/guest list giveaways, but still....The Killers sold out the Staples Center. I will now light myself on fire.

They pretty much sold out their entire Spring tour the morning all the shows went on sale. I thought they were nuts for even thinking of playing Staples, but people wanna see them so why not I guess.... It is shocking though...

I never would have thought the Killers would be capable of selling out Staples, I wouldn't even go for free to that show, I am however going to see Muse at the forum, I am actually looking forward to it, I miss the old days where they did smaller venues.
