Anyone who went to all three will say 2005.

Anyone who went to all three will say 2005.

This is a problem that occurs as well with all the polls about which Coachella is the best. The people who attended 2007 are very likely to be around message boards posting about it. 2006, less likely, 2005 even less likely, and so forth. So the polls always end up disproportionately favoring the most recent year because of sampling error.

Having been to all 3, I guess I would say 2005. I liked the bands this year more to some degree but the first year it was: a) new and that is always cool b) seemed to be more organized even though it was the first year c) the late nite shows were better and I think there were more Ö. We will go again next year if they have it, but if they donít make some changes, 2007 might have been the death of the goose Ö canx**

I'm going to say 2005 was the best so far too...and I've been to all 3 as well. The bands were kick ass all 3 but my reasons:
1. 2005 - That was the only year they used Sam Boyd stadium...and it was nice to have a place to sit down comfortably, to watch a show, after being out in the sun all day.
2. 2005 - Dave Matthews played at the stadium as well as the night show on the strip...so you could see him twice..or not miss him if you couldn't get a tic to the night show (2006-some bands played ONLY on the strip).
3. 2005 was the only 3 day weekend festival...and with Halloween on a Monday you could celebrate Halloween too..we did with Ween.. (2006 and 2007 with Halloween being in the middle of the week..no special Halloween shows were booked..BIG DISAPPPOINTMENT!!!)
4. In comparing all 3 years...the overall Vegoose fest...is offering less and less every year.

went to 07. small, simple, and good lineup. it was short and sweet, to the point.
plus my 22nd birthday.. if they had a giant tent for electronic music acts, it might possibly could have been better than coachella 07

Unless Vegoose 2008 is mindfuckingly amazing... I don't think I will be making it. Not enough money in the funds. Also, I am looking at possibly attending APW 2009.

I didn't even know about Vegoose in 05, went to Vegas the same weekend as Vegoose 06, but didn't care about it enough to go, and went to see Vegoose 07 solely to see Daft Punk again. Guess which one I voted for?

The people at Vegoose were sooooo nice. And it was a costume party too.
I'd definitely go again. It's a nice 1/2-year balance waiting for Coachella.

I had fun, but the poor organization , non existent communication, and skimpy lineup will not be bringing me back.

And that field...felt way more crowded than Coachella even though there were only 20,000 people or so.

Great performances, great people, shitty festival.

I pretty much agree man. I wouldn't exactly call it a "shitty" festival... but it wasn't organized well at all.
Unless they get someone like Zeppelin, and/or umm.... Faith No More... I don't think I will be returning to Vegoose 08.

I went purely for Daft Punk and everything else was a bonus. It was good but I didn't care for Vegas at all.

Vegas sucks unless you like crappy nightclubs..strip clubs..and gambling...trust me I know...I lived there my whole life until a year and a half ago...

2005 was Amazing , rediculously good linup. In 2006 by taking away the stadium, weakening the lineup and then having the balls to raise tix prices??, 2007 lineup literally made me laugh. I already knew that everything was expensive and if you're out of town, no camping.
The Stadium , filled to near capacity for Dave Matthews or Trey (it was overflowing) cannot be duplicated in any way on a small outdoor stage with 40k peeps trying to get a view of The Black Crowes, let alone Widespread Panic. I cannot believe they have the nerve to even put on the weekend without the Stadium and the 2007 lineup showed it.
Taking Sam Boyd away is the greatest injustice and should be DEMANDED by anyone who cares enough to feel the vibe that's supposed to be at Vegoose. Trust me , 2005 had it..06 nah.
