I'll be 40 by the time the NEXT (08) Coachella rolls around and that will be my 5 th one, on top of 15+ Bumbershoots and hundreds of other shows... Don;t have to be a teenager to enjoy the festivals!! It's just the experience that helps!

Had no cash till past ten years or so for such things but now I do Bonnaroo and Coach and whatever else I feel like doing. Next few years will involve a trip to UK for the summer fest circuit and I'm happy as can be about it!

Age is all a state of mind...except that your body does hurt more after multiple days of standing, dancing, drinking and having a great time!

I'll be 19 at the festival, and even tho i'm a young one i hope to see more older people there, cuz these kids cant get on my nerves... all of the old people I've met at concerts were the coolest ones neway, and they always have lots of stories and wisdom, haha

I was 21 for my first Coachella in 2004 and security didn't believe my ID was real...and I was almost 22 by that point. This has been a recurring theme, but hopefully this year they won't laugh at me and tell me "there's no way I'm 21."

I get that a lot outside of Coachella too, though...

Heh - I was 42 at my first festival - of course as the snobbish punk rocker of my youth, I used to shun any venue that sat over 3K. Clubs were the only legitimate place to hear music - festivals? those were for yuppies and the bands who sold out to them. Needless to say, Coachella changed that for me. Besides someone has to be the creepy old guy ;)

Not me! A lot of my friends (who are younger than me, btw) say ridiculous things like "I'm just too old to deal with festivals any more" and I want to smack them. You're only too old if you let yourself be. I'm no wussie!

well im 36 and of the 347 people who have voted, only 37 of us are 36 and older. i guess we are the lucky ones! funny how the numbers are so huge for 16-25 then it drops a little then falls off the map once you get to our age. damn do people change when they get older. ive always stayed grounded. still a dad and husband but never have lost the concert feel u know. i used to be the young one and looked at old people and go "damn they are still going to shows?!? now im one of them. god bless it!! i look good still though! lol and i still love the atmosphere so its all good!! i hope u youngsters dont ever lose it either... its a amazing feeling

i used to be the young one and looked at old people and go "damn they are still going to shows?!?

Do people really think that? When I was young, I liked meeting "old people" I met at shows -- loved to hear their stories about bands and shows that happened before I was out of grade school. :)

I'm 30 and go to far more shows now than I did 10 years ago... never had the $$ to go to them back then. I never feel like "the old person" at shows.

I am still going to shows and festivals and I am 53--I keep thinking someday I will be too old to go,but not yet!

this poll, no matter how u do it is going to be slightly off. consider the people taking the poll. what they have to do to even come across the pole...
own a computer
know how to operate it
go to the coachella board
and also make an account

most people that would do that would definitly fall into the 19-21 category. im not saying this pole is entirely incorrect, but there are probably more older people than the pole shows.
