Todd Helton is suddenly rumored to be a surprise target for my Giants. Never thought the Rockies would consider parting ways with Mr. Franchise.

He'll hit around .280 if he leaves Coors field. This is fact.

He'll turn 34 this year. The Rockies suck. And his numbers are on an accelerating 4 year decline. He's also pulling in almost $17 million, which is clearly way too much. Makes sense for the Rockies to try to move him.

Do not underestimate the power of the reigning 2 time n.l. west champion San Diego Padres.

D-Backs are gonna take the West. I think Randy Johnson is gonna come back strong this year. I love their young lineup, and this is the year Chad Tracy really brakes out.

The West Finishes like this:

D-Backs
Dodgers
San Fran
Rockies
Padres

The Giants make no sense. Getting Helton now is like getting Matt Morris from St. Louis.

Unless the Dodgers finish strong like they did last year, the division will probably end up like that. And I really wanna try out the right field pavillion seats for $35 and all you can eat food now.

The Dodgers are taking their superior pitching staff to the World Series! Go Blue!

Brian Sabean is the most desperate GM in baseball. I hope they get that Giant (pun intended) contract to strap them. I hope they trade Cain, Sanchez and Tim Lincecum for hin

I really hate the NL west. Its the laughing stock of the MLB. The last good team that came out of there was The 2001 D-Back's.

The NL West had 2 playoff teams. The Al East is by far the miost overratted division in Baseball. After the Yankees its a bunch of scrubs.

Oh and here is the Baseball Game of the year.

I was about nag you about J.D. Drew. Boy you are gonna learn to hate him.

At least the Sox baked this into the newly signed contract with Drew ...

Under the terms of the contract, if Drew goes on the disabled list in his third year for issues related to the shoulder for a proscribed length of time, the Sox have the option to void the final two years. If he winds up on the disabled list in his fourth year, the Sox have the option of voiding the final year.

I'm more concerned Trot Nixon is going to stick it to the Sox each time they face the Indians

Shawn Green does it to the Dodgers everytime. If Drew is healthy he is awesome. His Sept preformance really help the Dodgers make the playoffs.

hate to turn into into this kind of thread but...

...Fuck the Dodgers, Go Giants!

Anyways, it would be sweet to have Helton, he is just holding Denver back tying up too much cash with and he cannot play every game.
