5th October 2007
ATP VS PITCHFORK - MAY 9 - 11 2008

We are happy to announce the first part of the Spring/Summer ATP's. We are also excited to be going back to the original home of ATP back down at Camber Sands, but we are giving fans the best of both worlds by doing one event at Camber and the second weekend at Minehead.

As you may well know Portishead has now officially sold out.

But fret you not, if you have missed out on tickets, for today we would like to announce that the curators for the first May weekend of 2008 is Pitchfork Media vs ATP at the original ATP site of Camber Sands Holiday Camp.

Taking place on May 9 – 11, 2008 the first bands to be announced are as follows:

Ween, Sebadoh, Hot Chip, Man Man, Dirty Projectors, Pissed Jeans, Fuck Buttons, Apse, Glass Candy, Caribou, Los Campesinos and Of Montreal plus many more to be announced over the coming weeks.

Tickets are priced at £140, including a 3-day festival pass and 3 nights accommodation. Ticket includes performances starting from mid-afternoon with bars and DJ sets through till dawn, plus three nights in a self-catering chalet accommodation all with private bathroom suites. Onsite facilities include an indoor swimming pool, mini-golf, go-karting, restaurants & fast food outlets as well as a supermarket and off-license.

Camber Sands is approximately 60 miles from London, or around an hour and half drive. Alternatively, a train into Rye Village and then a short bus journey can reach the site.

Tickets for the All Tomorrow’s Parties can be purchased directly through www.atpfestival.com and are available in blocks of 4,5,6,7 or 8 due to the specifications of the accommodation.

ATP May 2008 Weekend Two, will take place at Butlins Resort at Minehead on May 16-18 2008. Details of the curator and the line up will be announced shortly.

We need to start a petition to get an ATP event back in LA next year. ANd does anyone know if the last one in LA was an similar to the UK ones. (meaning with the resort and all.)

I doubt i can afford Coachella, ATP and Primavera in the space of 4 weeks. Getting that much time off work would be close to impossible.

I think that might make paying for all that travel even harder, as much as i'd love to.
