The sound fucking sucks at cafe du nord, always has. It was a bad spot for him but probably the most sensible considering its size. There wasn't really enough room for his projections either.

Damn, I shouldn't have skipped his show here on Monday. I even had tickets...

I've never noticed a problem with the sound there. am I just missing something?

I would have mentioned it to you but presales were sold out long ago and the label came in and bought almost all of the rest. They only sold something like 10 at the door and those people had to wait for a more than a couple hours to get them. I only got tickets through the friend I went with who knew one of the staff.

No big whoop. I didn't even go to the show I had tickets for last night. I'm having a really hard time garnering energy to go out after work this week.

I know. I knew you'd be disappointed in me. I'm disappointed in me too. I just have no energy.

But this isn't about me it's about the real Ulrich Schnauss. I'd be interested to see the setlist.

same. I'd like to see the setlist as well.

a setlist would be tough. The whole show was mixed together, not one break until the encore. It sounded like he was teasing a lot of tunes, sometimes playing something recognizable but at double speed. I recognized a couple tracks from far away trains, he opened his encore with On My Own, but a really hardcore version of it.

I just wish they had better sound at that place because when he got crazy it wound up just sounding muddled. That venue is best suited for acoustic acts.
