Time for another poll, yes? God, this was really hard, because a lot of one-hit-wonders from these days still make me want to shoot myself in the face, but there are too many. And way too many bland wuss-rockers and too many grunge derivatives. Yeah.

Wheres the beef?

I had to vote Creed simply because the amount of air time it gets is disgusting.

If by "N'98 Boys" you mean the boy band trend, including N'Sync, 98 degrees and the Backstreet Boys, then that one has my vote.

Agreed. That's just non-sense.

But an ICP vs. Creed battle to the death would still pull my interest.

Metallica should have not released music in the 90s. Well ...And Justice For All was pretty good. Black Album was decent. But Load and Reload were unexcusable. Well, except for a couple tracks. But for the most part. Ew. I really, really hope this next album will be good. In recent interviews that have said they are going back to thier trash days and with Trujilo actually playing bass on this album. I do have hopes. But I am very prepared to be disapointed.

With that being said, I choose Filter. Wow what a shitty band.

Yeah, DMB really, truly sucks. And sucks hard.

I actually originally had Ace of Base, but removed them to make the "other" option. God...I was exposed to that 100 times a day in 1994. Don't turn around, indeed. And sadly, Ace of Base is awesome compared to what passes for pop nowadays.

Dave Matthews' Band. That guy pisses me off like nothing else...

Dave Matthews is almost worse for the horrible music he has inspired than for the horrible music he has played.

I wholeheartedly agree. It's a shame that utter shit multiplies a hell of a lot faster than quality stuff.

Same with people. Human garbage like Britney Spears constantly reproduce.

I was going to vote for the NSYNC crowd, but then decided that was too obvious, and besides those groups are really bands that anyone ever actually takes seriously. So I voted for Limp Bizkit instead.

I'm going to go find that "Fred shreds" video.

Oh man, you should check out last.fm...amazing how seriously people still take boy groups and BAD bands like Limp Bizkit, Default, and Puddle of Mudd. Truly scary.

Know what is truly scary?

In Vancouver, Kid Rock annouced a show at the Commodore Ballroom (cap. roughly 900) and the show sold out in 5 minutes. People are reselling the tickets for around $200/ticket. THAT is scary.

Doesn't Vancouver have some major social problems? (Well, for Canada anyways...) That would explain that...

I thought there would be more hate for the Goo Goo Dolls. I couldn't decide what wuss-rock-balladeer to pick...almost chose Matchbox 20 or Counting Crows, but then I remembered that stupid City of Angels song that was played on every radio station twice an hour for three years.

I voted for boyband catastrophe option.

I liked hootie too. This is hard for me because I was only 11 or 12 or so when most of these bands were at the height of their popularity and i liked a lot of them because everyone else did and they were on the radio all the time and i didnt know any better. I still can't really dislike dave matthews or hootie or the goo goo dolls.
