Sorry, I couldn't find a thread, I did a search.

jesus and mohammed this is a good album. Took me about twice through to love it, seeing them didn't hurt. The attitude is so southern. Let me hear you, I know you love this too. Lamb on the Lam? get the fuck out of here. Son of Hal may have been right.

Cigarettes, Wedding Bands is also a great track. Looking forward to seeing them live again in November.

I'd definitely vote for it as one of the prettiest albums of the year. Real pretty.

I have listened to it once all the way through and have yet to fall in love with it. I dont know if I like it as much as Everything All The Time, but only time will tell. I will listen to it again tonight.

The excellent collective taste of the fine posters in this thread makes me second guess my general lack of love for BoH. But dude that Funeral song was way annoying.

skip Funeral.

I like Funeral.

Me too. But if Courtney doesn't like BoH cause of Funeral, she should definitely skip it cause they have a ton of other great stuff. Monsters. Wicked Gil. The Great Salt Lake. And now the new album.

Sayin'.

Definitely a band that does not start and stop with that one track.

And I had my doubts for sure about them with all the hoopla about taping shows and whatever, but I've come around to see the point they were trying to make. I wish Yabs would post that one article because it's lost in an abyss of emails.

They are good live, but why pay when they are playing Amoeba Music on Weds next week for FREE?

b/c I have to work, and by the time I get off, all the 16 year old runaways on Sunset will have the line all the way around the block.

What line? Its Amoeba, you walk in and watch the show. This isnt liek when Paul McCartney or Black Flag played ya know.

I saw them live last month, they were good but it was just an opening set. I'm excited to see them headline in November.

Anyone seen them live? Good?

i saw them live last year on their Everything All the Time tour, and they were excellent. great crowd interaction, seemed like they were really having a good time and glad to be there. played the entire album and a couple new songs, plus 2 covers. one of my top 20 shows for sure.

i am definitely going to that. how long do Amoeba sets usually go?

I bet I would love that album.

They are good live, but why pay when they are playing Amoeba Music on Weds next week for FREE?are you really comparing a set at amoeba to a headlining gig at avalon?!?!

i guess if you just sorta liked the band this would suffice. but god damn, i'm excited for this show.

Cease to Begin is really good. but the three songs I saw them do live at the Tibet concert last month make me think that a full set would really be awesome.

"Cease to Begin" is better than "Everything All of the Time". I like the song "The General Specific". I always find myself turning it up a little by little throughout the song.
