I know it's kind of a dying practice to follow a label, as now everything goes straight to the internets, but dammit, some labels release music of higher quality.

The two I consistently follow are Touch and Go and Jagjaguwar. Et Tu?

Good call, except that label barely ever released anything. They mostly released on Kindercore and Orange Twin, with exceptions.

The only two labels that I really pay any mind to anymore are both based out of Michigan: Ghostly International & Cass Records

I used to love SST and Sire.

I have it in my head that the first Smiths album released stateside was on Sire, but I can't find evidence of that? But I know that The Cure, DM, The Talking Heads and The Pretenders were all on Sire ( I guess Madonna was too....)

I used to like Creation and 4AD the most.

Me too - Creation, 4AD, Rough Trade, and Factory ruled the planet. Those labels did a ton for music and culture.

I like Domino these days, Astralwerks and Mute are still decent.
