I did see him tonight, after the show I was walking up from the front and saw him.

If I am right he is at like 15 or so, 20 tops. He is doing pretty much this whole tour and europe too.

Headlights Look Like Diamonds? That's the one song from the EP that I want to hear, and never have after SIX shows. Jesus. Well, we did get Cold Wind in LA months ago, which owns all.

Dammit I almost went to this but decided not to at the last minute to save some $$. Oh well. They played Headlights when I saw them when they played the Warfield. Still wish I could have seen Cold Wind.

I wish they had played the entire song, though.

The show was fantastic anyway, including LCD. One of the best concerts I've seen in a while.

The show was so great last night...We showed up fairly early, and we were just sitting on the lawn, when some guy asks us if we want free seat tickets, of course, we took them gladly. We were already pretty psyched about how much closer we were, and then when LCD Soundsystem started playing, hundreds of people charged the stage, we slipped in with the crowd and got to the fifth row. LCD put on a great show, I have never seen them live, and i was pleasantly surprised. Arcade Fire was amazing, they played all their good songs from neon bible and funeral, + Cold Wind, Headlights Look like Diamonds and Sleeping In a Submarine...like supre already said.

In between sets you could text message, and it would show up on the big screen. Somebody kept texting "I like cake" and it was freaking me out, although i'm pretty sure it was just some annoying douche, and not someone from the coach board.

Don't forget, I have seen 2 of those 3 done already. And you think they are going to vary it that much in Europe? Probably not. but you probably already have your comeback ready for that time as it is. Doesnt matter, you are harmless in person.

Ok, I'm just getting around to getting online after getting back from the (rainy) bay area.

1) Rick (Somewhat Damaged) spotted Delta in the second row, so I went over and introduced myself. He was very quiet and gracious and when I told him he called me a cunt once, he seemed kind of sheepish. In any case, he doesn't seem like a bad dude, even though he was reading through LCD.

2) All That I Am-I saw you a few rows behind us but I never made it up to say hi...

3) The opening band, whose name I can't remember right now, was pretty decent. Win came out and introduced them as "friends" of his. In any case, they prompted us to go get earplugs because they were so damn loud.

4) LCD fucking ruled. I don't know what my problem was at Coachella-I was either kinda drunk or kinda stoned or kinda both. But they had me halfway through Daft Punk is Playing at My House. Holy shit, I'm glad I got to see them. Although I don't agree with closing their set with "New York"..."Yeah" could've closed it and brought the house down. Win and Mark (??? the guy that goes apeshit during Rebellion) came out and sang with LCD on "North American Scum" and Regine played the xylophone on "Someone Great".

5) Before AF started, the head security guard started inviting people up to the front area by the stage, one row at a time. Since there were hardly any people at all in the first two rows, by the time he got to the fourth row, we were able to cruise right up and stand on the railing. It was very cool to be in the front row for an AF show, but the downside is that we were stuck right in front of the violins, so we didn't get any love on our side from Win, Regine, or Will. Kind of a bummer that we missed out on a clear view of them. Other than that, they were great as usual, but they seemed a little tired. Who can blame them?

I knew you would be pissed about that Chris....I wanted to text Sasha too but I didn't have his number. In any case, sorry we had to get off the phone, I was totally lost getting back to Mountain View but we made it ok.

I'm in this pic, too. My face is immediately behind the girl's on the other end of the stage.
You had a better spot than us, Delta. But on the other hand, we spent $20 on our tickets combined, so it all works out in the end. Nice pics. :)

I don't go to shows to photograph. I go to shows to listen to music. Photography is a FAR second to being able to enjoy the show to the max. Most of the time I leave the camera on the floor and don't even bother pointing and shooting. And the ones I do take, are only for a song or two, and involve nothing more than pointing and shooting.

That is all.

Win also stated (in regards to the Bay Area) "sorry if it seems like we come here so often, but we fucking love it here. Well, we'll be out of your hair for a couple of years..." which makes me happy that they like it here, but also makes me sad knowing I won't be seeing another Arcade Fire show for a couple of years.

Give em a break, they'll have been touring for a year by the time they're done with Europe...they're probably going to take six months off or so to relax and start writing and then record a new album. I think 2009 is a safe bet for their next release.

I just saw on CNN that all Arcade Fire CDs have been recalled. Apparently it is defective music. More details to come.

MissingPerson

Naw, it's cool:

This just in, latest news on the Arcade Fire recall. It's been proven that the music itself is not, in fact, at fault. According to conclusive testing, it is in fact, the ears of a few joyless, loveless freaks which were themselves defective. Under the pressure of the sheer awesomeness of the Arcade Fire experience, their soulless husks simply imploded, leaving only cinders and ash remaining.

The normal population is said to be unaffected, and can continue to have their otherwise miserable existences made worthwhile by The Arcade Fire.
