Correct. Since Superfly has contacts in place it should be piece of cake for them to book Zeppelin. And I just want to see if the ticket prices go up a bit because you figure they will cost more than the Police.

Mid/late 70s - 80's they were all going to be in their late 40's/ early 50's when it wouldve gone down which isnt the biggest stretch.

And yes as Dorkfish stated it shouldnt happen, I mean it would be interesting but still. They broke up because they did not want to be in a band that didnt feel ''complete''?(best word I could think of) We going to bring back Nirvana with Francis Bean singing next?

Actually in reality, I agree with Brad, that any band with dead members should not reunite or play again. And I'm against any recarnation of Nirvana (whether it has Dave singing, Pat on guitar, Frances or Courtney fronting, or that Ben Kweller dude or whatever). Nirvana is gone, and that's that.

Only 3 more years?

Pink Floyd+Syd Barrett was a completely different band.

IMO, despite the fact that only one member changed. Two different acts with two different goals.

Not a comment on Coachella. Of course it wouldn't happen. I would see their reunion tour if it weren't to pass. Coachella is too small. And, get the stick out of your ass. Life is much more comfortable without a rod dictating how straight you have to sit.

I think Led Zep should headline the Main Stage and Mindless Self Indulgence should headline the Outdoor Stage and then MSI could play "I Hate Jimmy Page".

Yes and no. Probably be the same scenario as this year with Rage and it ''sells out'' of single day in like a minte and the other 2 days have lots of sales to make up for the overload. And 3 days sell out in a weekend too. So I guess Glastonbury gets Zeppelin next year? That would trump the Radiohead/Muse combo supposedly already on tap.

Fuck that shit. I'd be all for a Replacements reunion.

Neither Syd nor Bob were in their respective band when they died.

If someone dies and you break up right then (see Nirvana, LZ, Silkworm, etc) then it makes sense to not be getting the band back together. But I wouldn't consider either of the two above cases (Syd, Bob) to be in violation of that particular bit of good sense. In neither case did the death have anything to do with the breakup of the band.

And yes, I meant that reference and I still haven't seen the second one and I don't care to.

No, you still don't get it. The thread is purely based on conjecture. LZ playing the main stage at Coachella? - before anything has even been finalised about England?
Coachella is not, for the umpteenth time, the biggest music festival in the world. It's a good one though.

saw rober plant with his band this july. it was a superb show, and i went in there expecting nothing. he sings awesome still, of course he avoids some of the higher notes, but he still holds that shit together. i mean c'mon, the guy is 60, but he's still better than 95% of those younger posers tryin to copy him.
if they would ever do a full world tour they would sell out the biggest stadiums worldwide on their own within minutes, so of course they would never do coachella.

I saw a show from the Plant/Page tour. They were good but not like seeing the original Led Zep. However, I concur with Dani. I'd take a reformed Led Zep (without Bonham) over someone like Linkin Park. Of course, I'd probably take a reformed Abba over Linkin Park.

This whole nothing scenario reminds me of the time I made my way towards the outdoor stage at Coachella and was bewildered by the fact that Air wasn't on. So I asked a group of girls lounging if Air had played already and one of them responded, "Yeah its on right now, can't you hear it?"
Walking right into it I replied,"Hear what?"
Retarded look, followed by: "Air!"

I walked away feeling a deep emptiness inside me knowing I was never going to recuperate that time again...

The London gig is on, and its 125 a ticket, (the same price as a coachella 3 day ticket) and it's a ticket lottery.

It's at the O2 on 26th Nov. The venue holds 20,000, so that's a rather staggering 2.5 million in ticket sales alone.
