I just read the Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.S._Doomtrooper) for SS Doomtrooper, which was clearly written by you, given the fact that you are apparently the only person in the world who likes it. The discussion page on the Wikipedia article is hilarious:

Is it just me, or do the current names seem severely juvenile? "Cool Sniper Guy", "Nervous Guy"....they both sound bad. We have the names listed below, perhaps someone could change them to their correct names. -Mastrchf91 02:32, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

They're "fan names" I believe. - Matthew 02:33, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I realize they are, but it would greatly benefit the article to have their real names. - Mastrchf91 20:04, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

True, I personally don't know them, however.. I couldn't watch more then ten minutes of this film. - Matthew 19:09, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

It's so hard to say, but I thought the movie, "Irreversible" had a really cool soundtrack with stuff that Thomas Bangalter and Dj Falcon did together, but unfortunately the movie for me was so hard to watch. The subject matter was so depressing and disturbing. Watching a pregnant woman being brutally raped and eventually murdered while the only thing the boyfriend can do is go on a trail of revenge is very hard to stomach.

I diagree with some of the choices above but hey everyone has their own opinion.

ah no i did not write the wikipedia. And as far as SciFi movies go this was one of the better ones and certainly the best thing going on tv from 1-3pm. Maybe you take movies super seriously, like a religious experience or something, but SS Doomtrooper was really not that bad. So if you havent seen it kindly reserve your judgement until you have seen it.

I also have to say that purely because it was on from 1-3 on a Sunday when nothing else is on is what gives it alot of cred imo. Its not like I would sit down on a Friday night and watch it instead of going out.

Oooh, good one. I learned about/got into the Chemical Brothers, Fluke and Daft Punk via that soundtrack.

I liked the movie the first time I saw it; it was fun and it was very fluid, almost like a dance throughout. Upon repeated viewing the clunkiness was more apparent.

Lost in Translation was so goddamn boring I couldn't sit through it.

Lost in Translation is one of those movies that leaves you feeling iffy when it's over but takes a week to really sink in. I love the relationship between the two characters, it never crossed the line but explored emotional intimacy rather than physical intimacy. Anyone who's ever had a friend that you could see yourself falling for but kept the relationship as it was understands the deep bond and range of emotions that can come from this type of relationship. It was a beautiful, subtle, and touching film with a lot of meaning that as mentioned early sits in the back of your head and reveals itself later.

That new Collin Ferell flick coming out soon. The trailer looked crummy but the background music was The Pixies- Something Against You.

I hate it when Hollywood takes a trend/sub culture of the time and gets it so wrong. I don't why it's so hard for people to make accurate movies. Is research really that difficult?

The Superfly soundtrack is infinitely better than the movie itself. Also, most of the pictures in this thread don't even show up, making it pretty useless.

That actually is one of the pictures to not come up and I think the reason the pix don't is because the thread is so old
