I will be leaving to a new job shortly, and for the first 6-12 months vacation is a little had to schedule (no seniority). I am going to request thurs-mon (maybe tues) off for Coachella, but I am not sure how it will work out. I plan on buying the presale tickets, it will be my first year buying tickets this way and I have a few questions. If shit hits the fan and I can't get the weekend off, I am going to need to get rid of the tickets. I am sure a friend will buy them, but just in case they dont......

1) How early do you get the micrommunity tickets?

2) Do the tickets have your name on them or anything?

3) Any other info that might help?

For the record, I am not trying to pull a delta. I just want to know what my options are, and how much time I would have to sell them (at cost!).

I am sure someone will say call in sick, I would, but I would be employed just under 6 months and that would look really bad. The job is not a throw away job, and I really don't want to go that route that early in the job.

Thanks for the info,
M

Last year they arrived later than normal Ticketmaster, but plenty of time to dispose of them if need be (but too late for scalpers prices). They were regular Ticketmaster tickets. You can look back in some postings as to when the tix did arrive.

OK, so pre-sales will be WILL CALL and you'll have to wait 1/2 day in line for them. My bad.

PF says - i wasnt talking to you or about your post gay... just sayin

I barely moved any festival passes, but that's besides the point. What I did or didn't do is not the main matter here, it's why everyone is so obsessed with what I did or did not do. Also, that I purchased MANY coachella items yet was never afforded the right to the micro page. Just saying.

I really liked Ducat King. If you could use them again, I would say go for it. They did good work (at least from the consumer's end).

Ducat King worked for me. Selling them in Pomona was a good idea as well. ABTM (Anything but Ticketmaster)

That's not very nice. I attended the goddamn festival, in case you didn't notice. Purchased passes, therefore am entitled to micro page. It's all very simple. Much like 2 + 2 = 4.

This year, I had just changed jobs in February and I made it clear during the negotiation that I needed those days off. They didn't give a rat's ass (I seem to have one of those jobs where I can come and go as I please-or at least my boss has that philosophy).

I'd tell them that you have a family obligation or something already scheduled and that you will not be missing it-that way, they know upfront.

Don't request it off for Coachella, your more likely to get it off if you say something like... I got a family wedding abroad. But as captncrzy says say you have a family thing, not a recreational thing.

Honesty is best. Especially when you get back and are dying to talk about the shows, but all you can say is 'the wedding went well'

Hey Guys,

I am a Brit who's never been before. I have a few questions.

Is the pre-sale on line and how do I get on the pre-sale list?

When do the tickets go on sale for 2008?

Cheers,

Justin

i think the presale has been slightly different each year but yes it is "on line". Suggest signing up for the coachella newsletter.

i am pretty sure they will post when tickets go on sale on the website.. keep checkin.
