Can anyone say MUDFEST?

Fuck! It was a great concert, but unbelievably terrible weather.

It has been raining really hard all damn week in northern Illinois/southern Wisconsin. And yesterday, the heavens opened up, AGAIN. Mud everywhere, idiots sliding in mud, idiots throwing mud, idiots making nasty mud patties in the porta potties and not properly putting it in the the "hole".

Also, I heard people were stuck in traffic for hours (to and from), however I didnít have a problem either way.

Best part about all of this, is Dave Matthews has a concert tonight and tomorrow night at the same venue, and the place is in complete fucking shambles.

oh yeah! and Tom's mom introduced Rage too

ahhhh rob you biiiitch. pics?

noooooooooo wayyyyyyy. I left all my electronic devices inside the car. There was no way I was gonna bring a camera inside the gates in those conditions.

I did buy a shirt, which I found out later was a fuckin Rock The Bells shirt instead of a Alpine Valley shirt. :nono And of course they wouldnt give me a refund.

Other then that, I spent all my money on beer.

Queens was a perfect opener for Rage (at least the crowd responded to them very well). They ended with "No One Knows". I really didnt get to see alot of their set since I went to get a refill on my "guitar beer", which took forever...

and the sig thing will be fixed (deleted)

Thats cool, yeah Queens opened for them here in LA. back in 99 and everyone was like ''wtf??" I actually dug it since Rated R hadnt been out yet so it was that and the first album material only being played which was cool. They had people with flashlights randomly moving them around and stuff during their set, which I thought was just whack but cool. they should have put them on the same day as Rage at Vegoose, but Superfly drops the ball on that one.

Yup. They definately did. However, Muse --> Rage will still make me very happy.

It sounds like it was a great show! I cannot wait for Vegoose.

Yeah, it said they were playing with Queens of the Stone Age and Rage against the Machine.

It was myspace though. They fucked up before and posted bulletins from The Coup's myspace to advertise rock the bells without The Coup's permission. So who knows.

No, Muse's live show is definitely a lot more "rock" and high-energy enough to keep them at least entertained enough to not throw shit, compared to Crowded House's Don't dream it's over...
