That line-up is sick. The Faint, Flosstradamus, Spank Rock, & Crystal Castles? It's so much better than last year.

Isn't this on the same day as Nocturnal?

Great Night, The Faint, Spank Rock played really great. I was in the VIP section all night just getting wasted.

I agree. This did turn out to be a great night. I regret not getting the VIP ticket because the crowd was pretty douchey for the most part. Thems the brakes for trying to save some cash.

Anyways, Spank Rock w/ Santogold & Amanda Blank was fantastic! Crystal Castles really stole the show for me though. The festival was pretty sucky until they brought it up 10 notches (though I did enjoy Kid Sister, Floss was a bit underwhelming) There were a lot of bad sound problems throughout the night. Har Mar was a mess, but I really enjoyed when he freestyled during Aoki's set. Kid Sister dropping in on Aoki's set was a great suprise too. Aoki stage diving and crowd surfing was unexpected fun. Another suprise was DJ AM. I really enjoyed his mash ups. Would it be a crime for me to say I'm willing to bet that he is much better than Girl Talk? (Talent Wise) As for Mickey Avalon? He had some sexy dancers.

oh yeah, Chromeo was really great too!

Overall, for $24 it was a fun night. The space, crowd & sound issues make me doubt I'd ever go again though.

The crowd was definitely a major turnoff for me, although I can't imagine the VIP crowd being any better (just a little drunker). Hipster teenagers are only slightly more annoying than hipster 20somethings.

I saw everyone you did except Mickey Avalon (I left after Spank Rock), not that there was much else to see. I agree that Flosstro could've been better, I was expecting a lot more. Aoki's set was pretty typical, lots of him jumping around and poorly mixing a bunch of played out tracks. And what was with all the Justice songs? Seriously, I get that we all like them, but c'mon. Between Aoki and AM they played like, 4 or 5 of their songs in an hour.

DJ AM was good, he's definitely a talented DJ, but I wasn't really feeling the little Daft Punk-a-thon he had going on (seriously, if you're going to try and recreate their live show, at least do the encore or something), or the fact that he played two of the tracks that Flosstro already had. I wouldn't really compare him to Girl Talk, though.

I was disappointed in the lack of A-Trak. I was REALLY looking forward to seeing him, but Kanye had to go and steal him away! All in all I had fun, but I don't know if it was really worth the price.

You definately bring up a major point that I forgot to leave out, which was really annoying. I totally agree with the fact that it was very irritating to hear the same Justice, Daft Punk, digitalism, MSTRKRFT, etc. songs mashed up in just about every DJ's set. I mean, throughout the day, D.A.N.C.E was probably mixed/mashed up over half a dozen times. That was probably the biggest negative fact about the day.

As for the show being worth the money? I thought so. Crystal Castles, Chromeo, Spank Rock w/ Santogold & Amanda Blank and The Faint definately made me feel my money wasn't totally wasted.

The crowd was pretty weak. I still had a good time though. I can't complain, it was free.
