Bridges?

We don't need no stinkin' bridges!

27% of the bridges in the United States are known to be structurally deficient or obsolete. I doubt a lawsuit is going to fly.

Right that's totally going to deter everyone.

"Not structurally sound? I'd much rather take the 100 mile roundabout than the 4 mile straight-across (hypothetical) in that case!"

People that took the bridge wouldn't be able to sue if they were to die or be injured.

a guy started a lawsuit about missing fucking pants dude. youre telling me this case has no chance? come one now.

people got lawsuits going on about the WTC, and that was done by someone else. that wasnt even an accident.

some dumb KUNT got millions from Mickey D's cause she got burned with coffee, which she would have returned if it were cold.

im not saying its gonna stick or it is or is not justified but its very likely to happen.

This is exactly why I'm scared of going over/driving under bridges.

I was stuck in traffic on a swaying-in-the-wind bridge in Baton Rouge, LA that went over water (maybe the Mississippi, I don't know). I had a full-fledged panic attack and spent most of the time curled up on the floor of the van in a fetal position.

i wish we were spending that much to actually kill. seems like theres a lot being spent on prosecution of our soldiers, and having them lounge around and get shot at.

this isnt ment as an argument. it just angers me that our military is the most advanced and we're just chillin over there for 4+ yrs. makes me wonder if i would be in jail if i was accepted into the marine corp.

ummmmm.....I could use 30,000 dollars right now. Damn could you imagine how stimulated the economy could be. Fuck a war. Uh, I'm with Amy on this one. India is crazy yo. No working infrastructure, at least in relation to preventable disasters. If it's not the monsoons, it's a fucking train derailment. Ever notice how they have one of those like once every two months or so?

That bridge (in particular as well as any other bridge not on federal property) falls under state government territory, not federal.

Not that I'm disagreeing with you about the war....I agree with everything you said.

canexplain

It looks like from what I've read that the state can apply for federal funding to make the repairs and the state never did-even though the feds say that there is money available, and the state is claiming they didn't know about any major issues because the inspectors didn't tell them anything. I don't know, really. They're all pointing fingers at each other.
