Wow, I didn't even know he was still living, but I love his films. The ones I've seen at any rate. Rest in Peace Ingmar, wherever you may be.

Unfortunately I haven't seen any of his films yet, but I've heard great things about them. Especially "The Seventh Seal." I'll have to do a Bergman marathon one of these days.

Excellent choice. My favorite of his films.

A moment of silence for the Ing.

He made beautiful films and was quite the ladies man. He had at least 9 illegitimate kids.

Negative. I've only seen "The Seventh Seal" and "The Virgin Spring" and neither one is very good. Too much heavy-handed Christianity and unconvincing acting, particularly "Seventh Seal"; "Virgin Spring" would have been much better if the father hadn't committed to build the church at the end of it. I need to see some more Bergmans, and hopefully they'll be better.

I do, however, have a lock of John Cassavetes' hair and a tooth from Michelangelo Antonioni in my collection.

Are you planning on merging their DNA?

I just watched Persona tonight. Fantastic movie, but what a mindfuck. I'm still trying to figure it out, but please indulge me if you have any good explanations.
