Remember last year's tour? All those wonderful new songs? Mmm, yeah, we are seriously overdue for LP7. Sigh.

For me, it's a tossup between "Down Is The New Up" and "All I Need"

I've tried not to listen too much, but I really like the upbeat ones like "Bangers 'n Mash" and "Bodysnatchers."

Anybody got a megaupload/fuckingwhateversendspacebigfilething for these tracks, or make one, pretty please? Then I answer your poll. =)

All I Need owns all. Though Videotape, House of Cards, Spooks, and Bangers n Mash are all awesome as well.

Mortigi Tempo has a pretty good mock-up LP7 in their stickied LP7 discussion thread. It's on megaupload. It's a conglomeration of the generally agreed upon best performances of each song and the track listing was determined through a long series of polls.

thank you

haven't been on there in a while....i'm shocked they aren't using the london (and 1st ever) version of videotape though - i haven't heard any that have come close to it....

the toronto+mtl shows (both of which i was at!) are the tops!

enough with the youtube videos. youtube is not a good way to share music, especially when it's shot on a shitty digital camera.

here are direct links to the mp3 downloads:

sendspace (http://www.sendspace.com/file/x86tfe)
megaupload (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KOHJZXWO)

sendspace is slightly less annoying than megaupload.

right, and converting audience recordings to crappy mp3's is FAR better, especially having to deal with shitty sites like megaupload...

Videotape makes me cry like a fucking baby...Nude however would be my all around favorite, Videotape is slowly creeping up as one of their best though, it's a tough call.

mp3s from audience recordings tend to be far better than the sound on a digital camera.

on another note, having downloaded and listened to all of those recordings I don't like most of those songs. I like Nude, and All I Need. that's it. though the word from Thom & co is that some of them have changed a lot since.

When did they turn "House Of Cards" into a Roberta Flack song? Not complaining or anything, but it got all lowlit and shag and like, groooovy baby. Makes me want to break into "Midnight At The Oasis" or something. And yes, I know that's not a Roberta Flack song.

"Spooks" sounds like it will be a live fan favorite. Especially after they add some more breaks and figure out the light show for it. Hot track. Every morning and every day......I'll Bossanova witchoo!!!

Clang, clang, clang.

Seriously. Tell me the chord progression doesn't at least sound close. And they've done this kind of shit before. Karma Police = Sexy Sadie, My Iron Lung = Strange Magic, Planet Telex = All By Myself. When an influence sneaks through with these guys, it really sneaks through unchecked. I like RH and all, but I'll call them on their shit, same as anyone else.

And oh Jesus, I loves me some YouTube. Still. And Daily Motion. Makes talking to random strangers on the internet that much funner. Srsly.

No. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that EVERYBODY unintentionally rips off their influences and to pretend that Radiohead doesn't just because they're a good band is ludicrous.

Exhibit A:

Clean audio copy of ELO's "Strange Magic"

Clean audio copy of Radiohead's "My Iron Lung"

hate to bring up an old topic, but i'm in search of a good quality mp3 recording of videotape (the one from the basement on youtube would be cool), or any of the other new songs. can anyone point me in the right direction or upload something for me?

I realize this isn't the correct thread - and that this will probably get me publicly stoned...but I just listened to "High and Dry" slightly drunk for probably the first time since high school. This is the song that made me love this band. It's been 10 years and I still think it's phenomenal.

I can't wait for the new album - but I think High and Dry is perfection off The Bends.
